ok here goes: rumour has it the saints are trying to trade into the early round of the draft to get sedrick ellis. i here they are offering simms(think it's his name), who is a probowl left tackle, and the #10. rumour also has it that it is possible that ellis is there when we are up at 6. what to you guys think if we trade our pick(if ellis is there) to the saints for simms(?), and the 10, then shop d-brick(who i think will never live up to his pick), and trade back into the first round?:metal:
how can you say no, when we get a young, pro bowler, which brick is not, at LT, and still get a top 10 pick. then if we are able to get another 1st for brick, i think it's awesome!
Um, I would take a probowl lineman and the #10 for the 6th pick, but why bother trading D'brick? Move one of them to right tackle or gaurd, and then Woody or Moore become Depth guys....and I don't think the LT's is Simms, not saying it's not but I can't remember a saints lineman by the name of Simms..
We're not trading Brick, which makes this thread pretty much pointless. The rumor is they have offered Brown to move up to two for Dorsey, not likely they would offer him to move up a couple spots for Ellis. I could see a trade down with NO involving picks if the player we want(McFadden) is gone. If NO is stupid enough to offer us Brown I would jump all over it, play him at RT and further strengthen the OL for the next 5-7 years.
sorry, i was a little confused about the players, but to get a pro bowler and the #10, i think it would be awesome! i just don't think brick will ever be much of a stud. just my opinion.
Right, like I said earlier if the Saints are offering up brown and #10 I take it and run, don't trade Brick, just plug Brown in somewhere else on the line and further strengthen it...
