@ProFootballTalk: Report: Chiefs thought to be open to dealing CB Brandon Flowers http://t.co/L3Y8e8kY9u. Just wanted to see what you guys think? If true what would you think bout giving up? His cap it isn't too bad up until 2016.
Also I'm not a fan of Flowers. He can hit, but he gets handled in press coverage, I'd almost rather he played the slot.
Here come the player evaluators: I don't like him either. He ties his shows with the granny knot. I don't like that
Idk what yall smoking ... Maybe Berry should get some of the credit but Flowers is a beast .. I'd love him n Milliner in our secondary we'd return to top 10 passing defense for sure.. For what though a 3rd? 2nd? Id do it in a heartbeaT
Brandon flowers is a great player; Giving up picks is just not worth it.( Also I have been watching brandon flowers since he played football for my high school(atlantic high))
Flowers sucks..he was the 96th ranked CB last year and got eaten alive. He is due a ton of money as well. There is a reason they are praying some sucker will take him off their hands. Read this. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...fs-reportedly-willing-to-deal-brandon-flowers "Trading him won't be easy. Due $5.25 million this season, Flowers is just three years into a six-year, $49.35 million contract. Teams aren't going to jump to pay that money to a corner who saw 95 of his peers grade higher in pass coverage last season, per Pro Football Focus. Despite his struggles, he was voted into the Pro Bowl despite just one interception over 928 snaps. Part of his struggles were scheme-specific. Flowers didn't transition well into coordinator Bob Sutton's defense, getting burned in press coverage and allowing quarterbacks to compile a 103.9 passer rating against him in 13 starts." No thanks.
The $$ is the red flag here. Not sure how trades work in terms of contracts but can the Chiefs take on some of that money to make trading him easier?
Depends on the terms of the deal. Flowers is attractive to the Jets, or should be, since with him at cb the Jets could focus on O in the first two or three rounds of the draft.
flowers is awful in press coverage, gets beat deep all the time, the guy I wouldn't mind giving a 3rd rounder for is jonathan joseph from the Texans, they said he is on the trading block, jets should look into it after they draft cooks at 18, and take the 2nd rounder and another pick and trade up and take jace amaro or sefarin-Jenkins, then the 3rd rounder on Jonathan joseph
Why, because he plays corner? There has to be more to it than that and apparently he sucks playing in the Jets scheme.
Yuck! And that 103.9 rating comes against some pretty bad teams. The Chiefs had a pretty easy schedule last year, they didn't face a heck of a lot of elite QBs at all. I'm pretty sure Milliner, Wilson and Walls all had better than that, but I can't find the stats.
