Ok , This is going to be a short thread , but can someone who knows about this kind of stuff let us know pls
There is a thread in the draft forum that updates our pick weekly (Thanks Rambo). I think we are 3rd...
At least we are ahead of NE at the moment. Please god let us finish higher in the draft order , all we will hear is how the Pats will 'steal' our draft pick. ah hah , thanks
Wow... We are in great shape to land the best player in the Nation... D.McFadden. No way Miami takes a RB when they already have R.Brown... They need a QB really bad. ATL also needs a QB And the Rams have S.Jackson
Yeah we definitely have a VERY solid shot at McFadden, who is starting to grow on me more and more as Long appears to be too small (although I would be VERY tempted to grab Gholston; hopefully we can get another first somehow). The Dolphins would NOT take a RB with all the holes they have and considering they just drafted Brown in the top 5 a few years ago. Atlanta has Dunn and, more importantly, Norwood and needs a QB desperatley, so I don't see McFadden in their future. And like it was said earlier, Rams have Jackson. McFadden is very very possible for us, hopefully we dont get too good.
Judging on Arthur Blank's comments on MNF, he is surely looking for a QB. The QB class outside of the top 3 is ehhh, while this is a pretty good RB class so you can take a RB in rounds 2 or 3. I think STL will win 1-2 more games and the Jets will end up with the 3rd pick.
The Falcons certainly need a new QB, but as much as anything they need a new face of the franchise. With the aftermath of Vick, Petrino and a 3-11 record, the Atlanta franchise is as down as it has been in a long long time. McFadden could very well provide the type of boost and new hope to Atlanta that Reggie Bush did for the Saints. Also as a result of the Matt Schaub trade, the Falcons have a pair of second round picks, giving them the ammunition to move back into the first round for if/when one of the top 3 QBs start to fall in the draft like Quinn and Aaron Rodgers have in the past.
