Sorry if this was addressed earlier, but as of now, how are we looking pick wise, with Vilma, and Robertson?

    As for this year's draft:

4th rd foreskins pick on its way: Kendall the Rat was traded for 4th rd pick
D'Slob: could change, and Jets may end up with absolutely nothing. *Good riddance. What a job, Boobway! 2 1st rd picks for just THAT?*
Vilma: 4th round pick guaranteed. If he signs with Aints, we get their 2nd in lieu of our 4th.

    Now, picks going out:

Jenkins: 3rd and 5th. Boy, a stud, all-pro NT for just THAT? What a steal!
Favre: 4th at start, but could escalate to 1st round depending on the situation.
    The condition is:

    1. 50% of the snap at QB -> 3rd,
    2. 70% of the snap PLUS Playoff appearance -> 2nd (Almost a guarantee now)
    3. 80% of the snap PLUS Superbowl appearance -> 1st (I wouldn't mind this either...)

Vilma is playing often & playing well, so the draft pick may increase.

DRob...... maybe a 6 pack of Natty Light

Between Favre and Jenkins, some picks are going out the door. Time to win now.

Wasn't last year's pick traded for Jenkins? We didn't have a third rounder this year. The only pick we don't have this year is the one from Favre, which right now has a very good chance of being a 2nd.

My bad: Jenkins deal involved last year's deal, not this year's.

    So the outlook is:

    Incoming:

    Redskins: 4th
Saints: 4th. (Could escalate to 2nd in lieu of our 4th, if Vilma signs a new deal there)
Broncos: Undisclosed. (Could be absolutely nothing for all I know)

    Outgoing:

Packers: 4th (Could escalate to 1st)

isn't it already a 3rd round pick we are giving to the packers? surely it would be impossible for favre to not have played played 50% of the offensive snaps for the season even if he gets hurt on the first play of the titans game.

Looks like a guaranteed 2nd round pick at this point to me.

Unless Jets lose out the final 6 game (Yeah. Right.) it's a lock for 2nd, possibly for 1st.

Three fourth round picks in 2009 for Mike Tannenbaum? Did somebody say "dynasty?"

I hope the Saints don't screw us by resigning Vilma and bumping one of them to a 2nd.

DUDE!!! Thats what I was thinking!

Three 4th rounders because Favre will be a 1st or 2nd. Thats 3 gamebreaking gem picks.

Awesome shit. Tanny knows which round he is best in.

But if Vilma's gets bumped to a 2nd, they might try to trade up to the 1st round to get another keller caliber player.

We just need to try and get rid of our 3rd rounders any way we can. We've done that pretty well these past two years after learning our lesson in 2006 (Eric Smith and Anthony Schlegel).

    good point.

If the 1st rounder isn't there due to a SB appearance, trade the 2nd and every 3rd and 5th rounder for a Revis or Keller quality 1st rounder. And trade the 6 and 7 round picks for more 4ths.

7 picks inside the 4th round could build a dynasty.

What comes to mind reading this thread is all of the enablers Robertson had on this board. I guess after seeing 10 games of a true NT they have disappeared into the night.

It seems our bread and butter is late 1st/2nd and 4th rounds (Mangold Late 1st, Keller Late 1st, Harris 2, Washington 4, Rhodes 4, Lowery 4, Smith 4). The exception here is Clemens, who actually looked pretty good until he got the David Carr treatment. There are few franchises that can claim this many hits in such a small span of years with their drafts.

If you're into voodoo and other things that don't make sense, we can expect Gholston (R1P7) to be a pass rushing ace but only average against the run in two or three more years a la D'Brick (R1P4).

Two ILBs (starter to replace Barton and one depth) and a Safety! That's what I want!

And a backup NT. And backups across the OL. And . . .
