Well it’s good to know he is humble enough to admit a mistake, and learn from it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Still, it wouldn't have done Robby any favours being in this shit show, with an OC/HC that would refuse to play to his strengths. I can't wait until the end of the season and the number 1 pick in the bag and then Gase can pack his bags and take the train to loserville
Give JD credit for admitting this publicly. Most in his role wouldn't do the same. Experience to learn from.
So what else was said? I haven’t seen the press conference...just a quote that “it’s not all on Adam” and that “Adam is part of the solution” these are the scariest words I’ve heard in a long time, and this is why I worry that Gase is not getting fired.... this could get very much worse than it already is
Here is our nightmare Jets somehow pull out a single win...maybe against the Pats that is enough to drop us from top pick to like 4th pick behind the Jags, Giants, etc we lose out on Trevor Johnson keeps Gase ... pointing out how “he kept the team together” and how he “shows promise” This is not a very far fetched scenario guys
Not worried about a quote middle of a dreadful season when it's obvious they are tanking. They've traded pretty much all the vets in that locker room and are trotting out there rookies and UDFA and youth. And Gase isn't good enough to scheme guys to be better then what they are. Joe just toeing that line
The thing is about the Anderson decision is I like the thought process but the final decision was a mistake. You can guess wrong with the right groundwork. With Becton on board, people are totally cool with Fant and don’t mind Douglas didn’t go after Conklin. If the Jets got CeeDee Lamb or Ruggs, they would be fine with no Robby I think, and trashing Douglas for not getting a better OT. The Jets were going to get one or the other in the draft and they couldn’t know beforehand which one.
There were a lot of fans around here sticking up for Robbie. I wasn't one of them. But, it's just like his organization to AGAIN, not pay their youth. it's sickening
Ah...it’s up now on the Jets site. I think the questions were pretty lightweight for the most part...they went easy on him. Yes they asked about Gase and Darnold, but they didn’t really push him. He gave the expected answers.... He believes in Sam, toughness, only 23, etc. when pushed about how great QBs can make bad OL and WR look better, he basically said those QBs are few and far between. He says he still likes Sam, he’s the best QB we have, etc. He wouldn’t comment when asked if we would draft Trevor with the first pick, as expected. He talked about lack of continuity in OL and receiver, etc. he believes in Gase, and he’s part of the solution, again, what else would he say? and of course, our focus is not on the top pick but on getting better, improving, especially with the rookies and young guys. all in all, those answers are not surprising...we’ll see what happens
Have to admit. A lot of people were wrong about what robby would do this season. But this is then the point. If he is this good, why didnt he do this last year? If the answer is coaching, well he would be just as bang average this year too. I dont believe RA was worth $11 a year on THIS new york jets. Just like bell was not worth it. All the other answers were as you expect. Dont throw people in the league under the bus. Sent from my SM-G610Y using Tapatalk
If only Joe Douglas would have read my "Robby Anderson already one of my All Time favorite Jet Receivers" he would've seen what I saw with my own two eyes; which is a top 10 WR talent. https://forums.theganggreen.com/thr...-of-my-all-time-favorite-jet-receivers.93615/ But hey. The past is the past and after A.) Drafting Denzel Mims he can completely make-up for his Robby blunder by B.) Signing one of Allen Robinson or JuJu Smith-Schuster with our A+ available cap space and C.) Giving Trevor Lawrence a WR trio of Allen Robinson/JuJu and Denzel Mims on the outside with Jamison Crowder working the slot. I'm still frustrated about losing Robby but I have a feeling that JD will look to fix his mistake by landing us an A+ FA WR.
Top 10 average recievers. Are you saying that robby is better than: D hop Mike evans Micky T Dk.metcalf Devante adams Adam thielan Allan robinson Julio jones Kenny golladay Keenan allen Steffon diggs Scary terry mclaurin Obj Cooper kupp Amari cooper Thats 15. Sent from my SM-G610Y using Tapatalk
