Just keeping my ears open & knowing how Jets' like to make moves with there draft picks...I wouldn't be suprised at Jets' moving up in draft & selecting Glenn Dorsey - DT....LSU. Then saying they got the best player in the draft. He's definitely better than Gholston...:breakdance::beer:
Why after getting rid of Robertson would we pick up someone just like him when we have Jenkins and more pressing needs?? I'm a nice guy, so i really am disappointed that this link holds insurmountable truth, because as fellow Jets fans, i'd like to respect all of you: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=26570
Honestly...U seem to feel a need to respond to my threads w/o anything of substance to ever say. I guess a mick..is just a mick :drunk: Reality...Nobody knows til draftday & my guess is as good as yours :drunk:
That would be a horrible horrible idea. First of all why would we trade UP for a guy that doesn't even fit our scheme. Second, why would we want a guy that is just like a player we are trying to get rid of? Third, he is injury prone!! WTF ARE YOU THINKING MAN?
brutal, just brutal, I suppose we also fire Mangini rigth after the draft, rehire Donnie Henderson or Teddy Cottrell as head coach and then switch to the cover 2 defense, this is also after we have moved all our cover 2 players or are in the process of moving them
No way we trade up for him but i could see us take him at 6 if all the other top prospects are gone. Just from a pure value standpoint that can we can use to trade as soon as we draft. Although i HIGHLY doubt Dorsey falls out of top 5. if st louis doesnt take him, i bet that Atlanta will or maybe even the chiefs if hes there that long.
So I shouldn't be surprised if we trade up for a guy who might not even fit our scheme when player who will will be available to us? Okay....
There should be a sticky that says 'No Crappy Uninformed Threads Please'. Funny thing, Mel Dumbass Kiper was saying yesterday that he thought the Phins should take Dorsey 1st overall.
1) There is absolutely no possiblity of us MOVING UP to pick Dorsey. 2) Dorsey probably wouldn't fit as a 3-4 end. 3) We just broke the bank on Jenkins and also gave away two draft picks for him.
I love DOrsey as a prospect...but not in a 34 scheme. Send him to ATlanta, Tampa or Indy and he's an all pro within 2 years.
Because we seem to be ok with taking defensive players with congenital problems in their knees with out first round pick, having done it in 2003 and 2004? To be fair the current FO has only taken one player with a questionable injury history (David Harris) on the first day in the two drafts they have run, so we have no idea if they have the same blindspot the last regime did. Of course a huge part of the last regime is still in the building for some reason, so who knows?
