Yes they do, but they also play in an absolute garbage division. The 49ers have been touted as a team on the rise, but they're still starting Alex Smith. Despite his success this past season, I'm not sold that the light finally clicked on.

Seattle has been declining for some time, and time will tell if Whitehurst can actually be a decent replacement for Hasselbeck. Like I said, if the Rams were to pick up McNabb, Suh, and Tate, they'd have the best QB and RB in the division, a solid rookie WR and one with promise who seems to be addressing his size/durability issues (Avery), and would be my pick to win the division DESPITE their other holes. Obviously, the 49ers would enter the season as the favorites for most.

Doubt they get Tate unless they get another pick. This rumor has them sending 33 to the Eagles. I apologize for redundant posting

Dumb mistake on my part due to distraction. I even read your previous response in haste and thought you were saying there was a new rumor in which the Rams did NOT give up the 2nd rounder. My bad.

For some reason I keep forgetting that Jason Smith exists.

Why did they get rid of McNabb? They should have gotten rid of Vick or Kolb.

Nothing happened yet and Vick doesn't have enough value right now and Kolb is their future.

    Right on.
I'd imagine it would take a hell of an offer for them to trade Kolb, especially after the Whitehurst trade. All he did was throw for 300 yards a game when he got the opportunity.

As far as Vick, I think interested teams think his price could even get lower than it is. Philly would likely receive a fraction of the value dealing him instead of McNabb.

As a Steven jackson owner in a keeper league, I hope this trade goes down.

I was confused when it said McNabb wants to play for the Rams but not the Bills and Raiders.

who would want to play in Buffalo?? it is a crappy city, the weather sucks...

    Raiders is a terrible organization!!!!!!

If he goes to the Rams he has a great RB! a first pick overall and he reunites with Steve Spagnuolo who was LB coach in Philly before being DC with the giants and HC for the Rams! I'd love to see McNabb to the St Louis also because that means he leaves the eagles (good news for the giants)

McNabb deserves so much better than what Philly can offer him. Going to St. Louis might be the gift that he has deserved his whole career: a city that can appreciate him. Fuck Philly and all that they have said against McNabb. He deserves a better fan base.

I think McNabb is a very good QB. He has NOT been the reason their team could not get the job done during all those years of serious condending. He has some good years left in him and it'd be a good pickup for the Rams if it were to ever happen....

The Eagles would be taking a huge risk by moving on with Kolb, but he did look good when he was in there.

Even if the Rams trade for McNabb, I would be surprised if they did not draft a QB high. Trading for McNabb would definitely disqualify them from the Bradford/Clausen argument but I could see them bringing in someone like McCoy if he were to fall to the #30 spot.

If the jets and eagles switched players and personnel, all else things being equal, andy reid would have been fired years ago and McNabb would probably be retired.

I don't know I think if I was the Rams since they have so many holes I'd go with BPA every pick and draft a QB next year. McNabb has 3 years left in him even with his mobility in decline he was much more athletic then most QBs from the start, meaning right now even though hes older and not as athletic he is still noticeably more athletic then most QBs so he will age well. He has learned to become a good pocket passer also.

This is a shitty year for QBs not one of them do not come with big questions marks even the cream of the crop. Bradford is coming off shoulder surgery on his throwing arm and Clause has poor leadership, immaturity issues along with as some say limited upside. I don't know about the upside part but the leadership, attitude problems are red flags though he is young and needs to mature like most at his age. I think McCoy is a poor mans Kyle Orton and will not be successful as a NFL starter. I wouldn't use one of my first 2 picks on him plus if this trade went down they wouldn't have their 2nd rd pick to select him anyways. Tebow will be out of the NFL after his rookie contract if he decides to stick to being a QB only.

If this trade happens, I think the Rams, due to being so early in their rebuilding process, will still have a top 10 pick next year and who knows maybe trade up for Jake Lockear next year?

    My 2 cents

I know that they haven't been mentioned as being interested, but what about the Vikings? Have them trade for McNabb then all the Favre bullshit will go away and they'll have a QB that could possibly lead them to the superbowl.
