Just a question that I want to see what you guys think. Please do not turn this into a bickering Sanchez thread.

If you think he will play, do you think he will play with the 1's at all, and how long will they play him for?

He'll probably play with the 2's and he'll be on a watch and see basis.

I really hope so but something tells me no. He is not quite past his strained ankle and its precautionary.

I feel like if he cant start then why should he bother playing at all if his injury is that cautious.

I think they are gonna rest him and give him the start in the giants game after he gets a solid healthy week in at practice.

I haven't heard any updates, but it's not worth possibly wrecking his ankle for the entire year just for one pre-season game. If he does play, I doubt he's in for more than a series.

    Here's what will happen

    He won't play

    Sanchez starts

If he shits the bed then Geno will get a shot vs the G-Men and a full week of practice to prepare

If he does well he's named the starter, Geno focuses on getting the playbook down and continuing to improve his mechanics and takes over during the bye week

Simple fact is...when he does play....my assertion about the competition being a sham...is correct.

    You're Welcome.

    Dude,

Absent Imjury, there is no way Sanchez doesnt start against the Vagiants.

If there was any truth to this "competition" geno would start this week, opening up a chance to start in the regular season tune up.

Personally, unless they are SURE he is 100% I wouldn't play him and risk jacking his ankle up any further.

If Nacho boy shits the bed to start the season then he is going to need to be 100% because they will NOT give GMac a shot....so there you have it.

    No.

We get 1/2 of Sanchez and then Geno starts in Week 3. If Geno shines week 3 we start him week 1 of the regular season, if he fails to shine we start Sanchez. Week 3 will be his make or break week.

    Just my prognostication.

I'd much rather him rest. He's not going to start Game 1, so might as well get him healthy for the dress rehearsal.

based off one game? That would be very silly of the Jets to do.

You think if Sanchez comes our and plays poor vs the Jaguars he'll get the nod as the starter

If he plays good then sure

    No, Jeti.

They are now giving the forst team reps to the forst team guy.

Sanchez could throw a pock six on the forst play from scrimmage, and it woukdnt matter.

The course was determined, when Marty was hired,

Thats why the spent money on RBs, not a QB.
