I say take a shot and bring in Martin Gramatica or Jose Cortez, after giving Nuge one more chance this week if he has a repeat performance, I really hope he rebounds though and has a great game so we don't have to go down that road. That missed XP just killed his confidence in that game and lead to further misses, he just has to get his mentality straight again.

    No.

Nugent did great last season, why worry just because he had 1 bad game. He said in the post game how when he kicked he was getting hooked onto (I believe he said grass) or something along those lines.

I mean if it continues, then maybe you bring in a vet, but not now.

He was an awful draft pick at the time. Today solidified that opinion

He said in the postgame interview that he kept hitting the grass before the ball and that this was happening in warm ups before the game. He said it was the worst warm up he ever had in his life. Let's give him another week.

not Gramatica or Cortez. No. Only if this continues for a few more weeks, and it simply can't...

Who you cutting to take this kicker? Nugent?
What happens this if this new kicker sucks in one game? Nugent most likly won't be a free agent for more than a week.

So what's going to be his next excuse when this happens again? And it will happen again.

It is better to be a winning goat than a losing goat. Nugent is likely to have learned much today, or he better have.

I'd like to bring in a kicker for the sole purpose of showing Nugent that if he doesn't prepare and perform better, he can be replaced. Sign Cortez to say "you suck so much right now, we're considering giving JOSE CORTEZ your job."

I don't get it when you lot say "sign x to show nugent to get his act together"

By signing x someone has to be cut, so by showing "nugent to get his act together" you have to cut nugent, unless you plan to cut C.J. Mosley or the like instead?

Jose Cortez kicked bare footed in the XFL. He just had ONE bad game.
