Weatherford was good all year but if he's going to be awful when it matters, you have to get rid of him. I would also replace Folk if possible. Just highly inconsistent and is terrible on kickoffs.

Dare the Jets use draft picks for either of these?

I would definetly consider getting a new kicker. I don't recall the last time he kicked it into the endzone. As for Weatherford, I think he deserves another chance, seeing as he was great all season.

Maybe we can trade the rights to Cro for Janikowski, that'd be sweet.

I understand that Weatherford was good during the regular season, but he was about as bad as anyone the last two games.

Folk is also scary. Get rid of both.

Folk needs to go. We need a young kicker who will be solid here for years. I'm not saying use a pick (if it's a 7th rounder, that's fine i guess), otherwise, there are always plenty of undrafted guys out there to sign.

They could use a late round pick for one and then get the other one through free agency.

Shane Lechler is teed off at Al Davis, if he keeps bashing him, the CryptKeeper may cut him.

I've hated Folk since the Browns game and while missed FG's happen there is no justifiable excuse for a guy who kicks in the NFL to not be booming them into the EZ on kickoffs. His last kickoff was disgusting and set the Steelers up in great position to stick the dagger in our hearts.

As for Weathorford he was good in the regular season but he had some stinkers in big games ie; Baltimore/Pats regular season and he was awful in the playoffs. I'm willing to give him another chance but these 19 -25 yard shanks are becoming worrisome.

The obvious answer is to remove your thread making capability.

Also, no, they are both fine.

Weatherford was a choke artist in the playoffs and who has confidence in Folk. Upgrades needed

Weatherford is fine. He seems to have issues punting in the cold though. However, I don't remember the Jets having a better punter in all my life as a Jets fan.

He's definitely better than Louie Agiaur, Joe Prokop and Matt Turk.

Later Folk. He almast missed another easy one. For Folk the term 'easy one' should not even apply. His kickoffs were terrible all season. Lets at least try to find an upgrade.

Weatherford was amazing during MOST of the season, but really fell apart in the playoffs. We've never had a punter with his ability, so I think he deserves another year before we enter a final verdict.
