This is interesting, more so long term. I think he would be great with Lafleur and whoever throws the ball
There is no way the Jets bring in OBJ . He would be a disaster on a young team going through growing pains.
Seriously? I'm surprised at you, Poeman. Not only no, but HELL TO THE F NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe that anyone would even raise the question, much less want him here. Why do you think he's becoming available? After you figure that out, why would you want him? Some of you guys are absolutely freaking insane. The Jets have finally driven you over the edge. He is a head case and trouble maker. He's not even that good any more and he's 29. He has caused problems everywhere he has been. Get the hell outta here with that nonsense. Thank God, JD will have zero interest in that loser. He doesn't fit the character profile for this team and isn't worth the trouble or money he would cost.
The money appears to be the vet minimum, browns are eating all of the money to avoid dead cap. From a talent standpoint alone, every team has to consider it if he is going to be basically free
There is not a universe where it makes sense for the jets to claim him on waivers. In any kind of way
They've thrown for 400 yards two games in a row. I'm not sure WR is as big a need as we originally thought. They can evaluate WR at the end of the year (maybe end the Mims experiment). Plus its just a bad idea lol. Beckham makes very little sense here.
The Jets would have to be insane to bring him in. The last thing you want is a declining diva WR paired with an up-and-coming rookie QB. Imagine OBJ's tantrums if he didn't think Wilson/White was getting him the ball enough. (Does anyone remember another diva - Jeremy Shockey - showing up a young Eli Manning?). It would be tough for a young QB to emerge as a leader with a head case veteran like OBJ jumping on his shit.
I think it doesn't matter because one of those 4 teams in front of us will grab him. Lions have nothing at WR, neither does miami. jax has a solid young group they could pass texans have cooks and nothing else. I'm guessing the lions jump on him. but I don't think he'll be happy there either. mayfield is better then goff and they are looking at 0-17
No fucking thanks. WR isn't an issue for this team at all, I'd even go as far as saying WR is a position of strength for us. Plus, Odell is an overrated headcase.
