Is it just me, or are most of you arm chair QBs who really have no idea how to run a team? This board has more pairs of 2 cents on it than the U.S. Treasury. I love the Jets just as much as many of you, but these posts you people make are hilarious. I should just take what most of you say as non-credible because this is the INTERNET of all things. Posts such as : "Manginis head rides on this season" - ROFL, what are you trying to do? Gather the villagers to light torches, carry pitchforks, and walk up to the spooky house on haunted hill occupied by Mangini? "Pennings for a 2nd?; Vilma for a 2nd 3rd?" - Yes, this is madden 08. Lets just create a "Trade Block" and see who bites! Oh, the bengals want it for a 1st rounder! Jesus. How about someone on this board be creative and actually think outside of the mob mentality which runs rampant on this board. Most of you must not even be from New York. Most New Yorkers I know don't even pay attention to the Jets or Giants. Hell, the long-time Jets fans I know don't even talk about them unless they win. Some of you need to learn that when the Jets start sucking. TURN THE TV OFF and wait till next season. /rant over.
Maybe I should throw bi-polar on the topic as well. I've watched this board grow since allloonngggg time ago and I just love to watch the manic mood of this board go from "OMFG WE WILL WIN SUPER BOWL! *insert little character dancing*" too "Well i called this awhile ago *insert winking face*" /rant over again.

What is wrong with speculation and ranting about a team that you care about. It almost seems like you are saying that "internet" Jets fans are different than regular Jets fans which makes no sense at all to me. Actually, the internet Jets fans are more of fans than the ones you associate with. Most people here don't turn off their tv's when things start to go bad. They sit through the games and talk about them and the future of the team. If you are so disgusted with the way the board runs then why would you continue to post here. Why don't you forget about the "internet" Jets fans and just be the type of jets fans you were talking about. The one that turns off the tv and doesn't discuss the team. It sounds like thats where you are headed anyway.
Being a Jets fan brings out the best and the worst in people. Florida, after all these years you should know this by now man. I've been on this board as long as you and I've seen completely certifiable nutcases post utter insanity here. That's the glory of this being a message board right? I get that feeling whenever I go back east and see somebody with a Jets jacket and mention a guy like Rhodes to which I receive a blank look... that's why the internet is great, because you can seek out people of like mind who want to have a discussion on a subject, people who have a somewhat better understanding on the subject than someone you will meet on the street or in a bar, and you get to figure out who is reasonable and who is a lane-brain. That's most of the fun in message boards, finding the needles of intelligence amid the haystacks of confusion. I'd bet probably 95+% of this board (myself included) has never coached a game in our lives, but we study the team and the game passionately enough to understand better than the casual fan what is going on between the hash marks. Neither you nor I know how to run a team, but if that were a pre-requisite, this board would be empty and boring, because there wouldn't be anyone here.
