Do Jets' have there speed passrusher on roster yet ? I believe they don't yet...So Gholston, Groves, Marcus Howard, Iwebema, etc. Who or which pass rushers do you want the Jets' to acquire ?
I've got a sneakin' hunch that Gholston will not be there when the Jets pick at #6.....so let's hope the Jets trade down and grab a Wideout in the bottom of the first round..... But if we're talking strictly pass rushers....i like Groves. I think he can be had with our 2nd round selection.
I can't believe Calais Campbell was included in the list....let alone, 4 people voting for him. I guess some people love slow pass rushers.
If Gholston is there at 6, he is obviously the best out of all these guys, but he most likely wont be. So if we are now choosing from the second tier of guys (meaning using our 2nd round pick) the only two guys I look at with that pick are Quentin Groves, hoping he will be there, or somebody you don't have on the last, Chris Avril. All the other guys, as far as pass-rushers go, I would not take in the first 2 rounds. And why the hell are Glenn Dorsey and Calais Campbell on this list?!
Howard is not big enough AT ALL. Sure he can run fast, but at 6-0, 235, which BTW is just about as small as Vilma, and not at all a fit for the 3-4 OLB position He is a real good 4-3 OLB prospect though, just not a fit in our defense.
I like the look of Marcus Howard -- but perhaps it's because I'm such a fan of J. Vilma that he look great. At the same time, though, Vilma was a stretch for our 3-4 / 4-3 hybrid defense. Perhaps beside Harris he would have flourished this year, but we will never know now. Marcus Howard is going to be a great NFL player if he keeps his head on straight, whether we can use him or not.
How in the hell will we know until there is a trial by fire for our choices? Of course, now, we haven't finished making our choices yet. So, asking this question is more than premature. It's downright pre-natal.
