Sunday: (5) 49ers at (2) Panthers-1:00 (6) Chargers at (1) Broncos-4:30 I really am not sure who wins each game either. I guess I will go with all home teams, but Panthers, but I could see any road team win, and I could see Panthers winning.
My picks: Denver Indy San Fran Seattle The only game im really confident is the Seattle game, I think they will be ready to go, they are the first game. I think the real pressure cooker is going to be the Denver game, they scheduled them in the latest spot, they will be sitting around A LOT. If I recall correctly the Jets beat San Diego in the late spot on Sunday, the Jets beat the Patriots on the late spot again the next year on Sunday. The following year the Giants beat the Packers again in the last Sunday spot. I personally dont like when a hot top team is sitting around all day Saturday and then Sunday watching all the other games. It doesn't benefit them. There comes a point where you cant put anymore preparation into the game and you do lose focus because of the other games. I still think Denver wins but if the Chargers do this it wont shock anyone.
You are correct about the Jets game because of Rex's classic speech in the locker room after: "3 homes team won and the f$#king Jets!"
the time of the game shouldn't matter, NE whipped Houston in the same time slot last year. den was upset in the first slot of the weekend. it doesn't matter where Peyton plays he tends to come up small. If he actually doesn't put all the pressure on himself and allows his ultra talented team to make plays they should win easily.
Above picture made me feel all kinds of awesome. Thinking Sanchez lead Jets beat Peyton and Brady on the road in the postseason seems so distant now but it all happened 3-4 years ago. Dreaming a Jets superbowl now and hoping it will happen before I die. I want to taste that feeling.
Things change quickly in this league, we could be playing in this round next year. You never know. I love the matchups this week. should be a great weekend of football.
strong QBs in the playoffs, but weak defenses. Last week Philly and Green Bay, two bad defenses, were knocked out, but that still leaves San Diego, Denver, Indianapolis, and New England. New Orleans is above average. Seattle, Carolina, and San Francisco are the only good defenses in the playoffs. I like Seattle, Denver, and New England to get it done. Carolina/SF is a toss up. SF is the better team but they're on the road.
I was reading that SD's defense has been on roll for maybe the last 5 games? I'll see if I can find the link, but ever since they put Marshall in for some other CB they went from league worst to average. I am hoping a NFC team wins it all since they all seem to be much more balanced teams than the AFC teams remaining
It sucks because if they had pulled out the Steelers game then they would have gone through Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger all in one run. The Ravens run from last year will be looked back as one of the great runs of all time, Luck-Manning-Brady. Once when Luck's status is elevated to god level people will look back in 20 years and be like "holy shit" how did they take down Luck-Peyton-Brady all in a row....
Ehh nobody really remembers that stuff. Just because if Luck turns into a great QB it doesn't mean the Colts were a good team then. The thing that will stick form that Ravens run in my opinion will be: Ray Lewis retiring The power outage
there's really no need for the cursing. I would add Flacco's play and in specific the TD to Jones at Denver.
I was thinking about adding the Hail Mary, but it was kind of anticlimactic, it happened so quick and he just beat the safety for an easy TD. I just wasn't sure if that would stand the test of time.
