Texas up 2-1 on Tampa Bay. Matt Moore the only Rays starter who came through. Phillies 1-1 vs. Cardinals, after Lee lost. Brewers up 2-0 on Diamondbacks. All have games today, starting at 2 PM. Arizona starts after 9 PM.
price had a broken fingernail that was fuckin him up, they kept coating it between innings but it obviously effected him
I'm not at all surprised the Rays lost, but I am a little surprised that they went out with a whimper. I expected a little more from them (though I thought Boston had a better shot at making it a respectable series with Texas).
That's kinda obvious considering Boston is significantly more talented. Boston had a better shot than Tampa Bay against anyone. Hey, at least TB didn't get swept. They don't have the talent that Boston does, or Texas.
So Arizona hits grand slams on back to back nights. Ryan Roberts, bases loaded, 2 outs. They show a replay of a grand slam he hit vs. LA. next pitch: over LF wall Chris Young makes it back to back.
In a shocking turn of events, the AL East and its superpowers and tremendous salaries is out of the playoffs.
I don't care if Carpenter throw 150 pitches, LaRussa better not pull him. I'm coming through the TV to choke him out if he does. Great play by Furcal!
Im a phillies fan but phillies deserved to lose, when you cant score one run in a game 5 elimination game, just embarrassing, great pitching by doc, and hats off to carpenter, great pitching performance
I don't care if he gave up hits, Carpenter just pitched a perfect game. No way they win that game with anyone else on the mound tonight.
Amazing. Before the season all the talk was about it being a 3 team race. Red Sox didn't make the playoffs and the Yanks and Phils out in the first round.
