Did we just watch the Jets mature real time?

In all the euphoria of having beaten a team I don't think anyone thought was possible, I think we need to realize this team is GROWING beyond our wildest imagination right before our very eyes.

Zach looked WAY better in the Bills game and in only one week he cleaned up those absurd mistakes he made against NE. No more of the hero ball. He stepped up in the pocket made a quick decision with the football and threw it away if that was the only option. He didn't hold on to the ball too long. He didn't attempt to throw the ball out of bounds like an idiot. He ACCEPTED and FOLLOWED the coaching staff's advice. Now, I don't want to go crazy praising him. He's still the weakness on this team. But is it possible that yesterday's victory will resonate with young Zach? He'll recognize this and not go back to the childish antics of before?

The defense recognized that they can hang with ANY team in the NFL right now. The Jets defense is a legit top 5 defense in the NFL. Before yesterday they were already on their way. Yesterday CONFIRMED what everyone thought.

I think this thread needed to be made because this team is growing so quickly. Assuming they stay healthy, besides Bills in Buffalo, Vikings in Minnesota, and Seaslugs in Seattle, does ANY remaining team on our schedule scare you? For me, the ONLY remaining game that I truly believe we'll lose is Buffalo. Minnesota and Seattle do not scare me given what we know this team is capable of......

    Totally agree on your thoughts.

However none of the remaining games really scare me. I’ll chalk up the game in Buffalo as a loss on paper simply because Buffalo is home and will be out for revenge. You can’t win them all I suppose. Minnesota looks tough but do you see Kirk Cousins having a good day against this defense? Seattle? That should be a good game.

Right now all I can think about is Foxboro. The Jets need to go up there and punch them in the mouth …

We didn't "just" watch it. It was yesterday.

What an excellent post and I couldn't agree more. The Jets MUST get the patsy monkey off their backs. But is ANYONE honestly afraid of the patsy game? I don't think anyone is. This team is so talented and so on track that they should have wiped the field with the patsies. I look forward to that happening in 2 weeks.....

There is no reason the D can't keep you in every single game the rest of the way. It would be an absolute failure if they don't make the playoffs Pats, Chicago, Jax, Seattle, Detroit, Minn, Miami. Go figure out a way to get 3 or 4 more.

Totally agree with your last point about the Pats. If you go back and listen to the players postgame comments after that loss, they already talked about having them in 2 weeks in Foxboro. A win that week will basically knock the Pats out of the playoffs.

Its all about finally defeating Belichek and the ghosts of the Brady Era. If the Jets go up to Foxborough and impose their will in a victory? the corner will have officially been turned and the "baby Jets" will start to get the respect they deserve possibly even from the Refs...

I hate to say it especially after yesterdays win, but it just makes me even more angry that we lost to the freaking Pats when we certainly had them beat. I know you move on, but man how great would it have been to have beaten the Dolphins, Pats, and Bills to this point. And it should have been the case. Ok rants over lol. This team took some really good steps yesterday and I honestly think we can play with anyone because of the teams overall attitude.

Yup…we’ve been slaying demons this year for sure, but we NEED to crush the fucking Pats. They’ve absolutely owned us for years…we need to beat them fierce. Like I want to run up the score on that fucking team like they do to us…no class.

The Jets are better than the Pats, but they need to be better than the Pats and the refs combined.

The Case Keenum led Bills don’t scare me.

I completely agree with you I feel the Jets can compete with any team out there. As painful as the Pats loss was it was almost a necessary evil to finally show Zach that he needs to be a game manager, get his passes out fast and stop trying to do too much. I'm confident that with Zach's strong play against the Bills, the Jets road dominance they will handle the Patriots. How sweet will it be to knock those bums out of play-off contention and beat them in their house.

If Allen misses any significant time the Jets could be fighting for the division with the Dolphins. That final season game in Miami could have huge ramifications.

The Jets will have matured in real time if they beat Belislob in 2 weeks at Cheatsette. I'm already pacing.

If the Pats loss is the turning point for this team and especially for Zach, correcting once and for all the main errors moving forward, it would become the most valuable and best loss ever. Now let’s crush them at home. Dejavú of Rex days.

Hell yeah. How sweet to sew a permanent scowl on that dour, evil emperor Belichick and reduce the Foxborough faithful to silence.
