It's official, McGahee is a Raven. Since he was a notorious Jet killer, I think this may be one of the most beneficial player moves out of the AFC East for the Jets in recent history. Now, we do have to play Baltimore away next year, but over the next couple of years, do you guys think this will have a very good benefit for us given our twice yearly Bills matchup? ESPN.COMThe Ravens and Bills agreed to a trade Thursday that will send running back Willis McGahee to Baltimore in exchange for the team's third and seventh-round picks in this year's draft, along with the Ravens' third-round pick in 2008.
Was asking for everyone's opinion on how this impact the NEW YORK JETS. Is that okay? I guess I need to review the proper forum posting bylaws
Not really. The question is Jets related. I for one am happy he's gone from our division, because he was a Jets killer.
I would definately say this affects us. I was so tired of him stomping our asses. Did he ever have less than 100 yards rushing against us?
god i hate people that do this. just answer the question or dont post in the thread. anyway im for sure happy to see willis leave. Now he can find another team to pick on . Ie: the Browns.:bills_suck:
This is huge as a long term matter, but this season we have to face him on a much better team. But anyway it will be better for our division record.
This thread is about the Bills games next year being easier, which they will be. It's borderline, but I'll leave it here. But this is huge for us. McGahee killed us...
I like seeing him go, however two extra third round picks will definatly allow them to add pretty good, young depth, as well as take a risk in the second round on a borderline playmaker like they did with McGahee.
This is a great point. I cant tell you how much heartburn I had every time we played him. Kinda like Doug Brien field goal attempts.
that was my initial reaction when i read this. thank god we don't have to deal with him twice a year any more. wonder if the bills have a RB ready to sign or just wanted mcgahee out enough to get rid of him before having his replacement ready...
Once in 6 games.... In 2004, but he still had I think 80+ yards and 5 yards a carry, it was just in a backup role to Travis Henry...
For now i would say this is very beneficial to the Jets. However we will find out soon because with all the picks they have, the Bills can package thier picks and can draft lynch or whoever. We will find out 2-3 years if this indeed was beneficial to the jets
Why is this the wrong forum? I think it is a good question. After watching in person mcgahee run all over us EVERY TIME, i am very happy to see him leave the AFC.E..
this absolutely helps the Jets. Although I already thought that we would beat the Bills twice next year, this just makes it even more likely.
