Last year, you heard a lot about the Jets talking to prospects, Curtis Martin at the combine checking out AD and some others, the Taxi-thing with Revis and a lot of other stories. But i haven?t heard anything, yet this year. Did i just miss it? Or didn?t the Jets talk to anyone, yet? Or don?t they want to be it public, who they like? Is it just too early?
Well, at the Combine they talked to almost everyone... thats the interview day... outside of that i haven't heard the "extra" talking to that Revis got or any of our players chatting with a prospect. Maybe Mangold can talk to his old teammate Gholston and tell him how nice NY is.
Each Team is allowed a certain number, I believe around 30 visits to a NFL's Team facility. I'm certain the Jet's will invite most of the top ten players, to not show their hand. The visits usually start taking place toward early April after Pro-days at the prospect's school. Revis visited Hofstra and that's when Tanny refered to the Cab Ride story.
Avril is the Darkhorse pick for the 3-4 OLB... Rod Woodson was praising him at the combine, but Woodson is from Purdue so he is a tad biased.
We'd probably have to trade down with our first pick, or up with our second to get this guy. Jets | Cherilus works out for team Mon, 17 Mar 2008 12:01:18 -0700 Mike Reiss, of The Boston Globe, reports Boston College OL Gosder Cherilus worked out privately for the New York Jets.
i'd love that, probably the first (and only) o-line jersey that i'd buy now that my vilma and penny ones are just about useless
go figure i buy s. moss over coles, (i used to be a fan of the U), pennington over chrebet, and vilma over curtis martin (again, the U)
i was never really that big into college football, but if i had to pick a team to root for it was miami just because the familiarity from all their players in the NFL. Once i got to BC things changed
