The Jets did a lot of stupid crap in that game but, you have to admit, the Lions came to play today and did a solid job on defense, particularly with stopping the Jets run game.

Seems like Shottenjuinor FINALLY took the leash of Sanchez and he stepped up. Made some atrocious throws like always but also showed that he can come up with a big play when it counts. And the receivers finally stopped playing like shit at the end of the game.

Did the Jets offense turn a corner today? I think they did.

I don't know. I think the offense is still way off.

I wrote this in another thread about the offense. Consistency is key.

It was obvious from watching the game that teams do not fear Sanchez. Schotty is going to have call more pass plays early in the game to keep the defense honest. They are stacking 8 men in the box constantly.

Uh, no. Schotty still sucks donkey dick.

We got a few lucky calls and we pulled this one out of the Lion's ass.

    No they didn't!

We won because half of their team got killed. Poor Stafford... extremely good QB but that shoulder just won't hold together... I feel sorry for the kid.

We played like shit as usual in the last three games (yes the Broncos too) and it's a fucking miracle we won.

No, they didn't turn a corner, but they did prove again that they have an offense that can win tough games late.

Also, there is a bit of optimism in the fact that, through eight games, they have been in every single one down to the wire. Can't win games if you're not in a position to do it, and the Jets always are.

I think if they turned a corner they would be playing consistently. I didn't get to see the whole game, but from what I'm hearing I dont think that happened. The silver lining to me is that even though they were out of sync and off their game, they found a way to pull out the game. Sure, the Lions gave them some help down the stretch, but with 1:54 left on the clock and no time outs, you have to step up and make the right plays and the boys did that. When you can start doing that you build confidence in your team and mates that no matter the score, the game isn't over. It helps make them a more dangerous team.

I'd feel a hell of a lot better though if they played consistently good all game though.

We need to establish the run better I just feel the last two rushing plays we havent been picking up four or five yards like we usually do. I also think our run calls are way to predictable

Still not confident at all. We did great in the 2 minute drill which is nice to see. Our down to down play in normal situations still needs improvement. The play calling is atrocious. a typical jet offense is

    1st down - run for 2-3 yds
    2nd down - false start 2nd and 12-13
    2nd down - 5 yard pass
    3rd down - 3rd and 8(in trouble)

It's so predictable. How about doing something other then a run on 1st down.

I can't agree with you more. 1st and 10 - RUN the ball. Now repeat that throughout the game lol.
