Since I had to work, stay up with the game on the internet CBS gamecenter. It seems as if the no one for the Jets is having a good game. But for those watching it, which Jet player held their own.
Kerry Rhodes had a forced fumble on Brady, Barrett had an INT. Just go here for all the stats: http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/live/NFL_20060917_NE@NYJ
Kerry Rhodes was a factor on Defense. Cotchery and Coles had great plays resulting to TDs. Pennington showing chemistry with his WRs Rashad Moore clogged up the middle pretty well.
I think the team really showed us something this afternoon. Good for them for hanging tough and coming back. Things are looking pretty good.
I'm glad they showed up. I don't think people will be taking the Jets lightly. They didn't win but it sound like several players had good games.
Rhodes had by far the best game of his career. He didn't make the gaudy pick like he often does, but he was Brian Dawkins-esque in the fact that he went all over the field and seemed to understand what the Patriots were running, even when nobody else on the defense did. On offense, Coles had an absolutely unbelievable game. His touchdown catch was one of the best individual efforts that I've ever seen from a Jets player. He also made one particuarly key 3rd down conversion where he basically shook the defender and willed himself over the line. This guy better go to the pro bowl if he keeps up his early season play.
