Article about dbrick: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/nunyo_demasio/05/04/dbrickashaw/index.html (This is what the thread is about right? Just posting articles about Jets?)
Interesting article, but I think it's been clear for some time that DeWayne is not the proto-typical NT in the 3-4. He will be part of the rotation there and also move out to DE. In the 4 man front he will be back in his familiiar DT spot. Bringing in all these big guys in the last week or so was more to make up for the losses of Pope, Pouha, and Tui. As for the future of Dewayne with the Jets, I think the team made it clear when they didn't ask him to restructure this year, that they are in a wait and see mode. If he proves successful this year in this system then he will have a future, if not he will be moved and labeled another mistake of the Bradway regime....
Sorry I do not agree with your post. I think bringing in ALL those guys especially a totally washed up player in Hamilton shows total desperation on the part of Man & Tan as they now realize they really have nobody on the DL who can cope with the 3-4 except for grey beard Kimo
That was too easy, almost like hitting that hanging curve that just looks like a pizza pie right around the numbers....
i honestly doubt that, being that sean ellis was drafted by us to be a 3-4 end, and played very well his rookie year as a 3-4 end....your "gut feeling" is way off here
Do your fingers cramp up to the point where you have to shorten eevrything? The Neps? DeW? CP? LC? EM? MT? The funniest was NEPS...I still laugh at that alot.
We all knew D-Rob wasnt going to work at NT, I think if we play him at DE we have a better chance of seeing this guy improve his play week after week. We've seen signs that D-Rob can be a force, but please take him out of NT, he's not a NT.
While I always think the prototype size standards for players are often rediculus and unrealistic, I think Dewayne is too small and too slow to be on the team. He'd make a decent tackle in any other system but we need 3 big guys to really take up three offensive linemen. Ugh I hate how Mangini is forcing this defense on a team thats doing very well with its 4-3.
