Heard it was a serious knee injury. My thoughts are with him. Hate to see this youngster lost for the season. Any info?

No official info yet. He got shoulder checked up high and blown off his feet. Must have twisted the knee. Probably blew a ligament.

Looked like he tore something but hopefully it's just a sprain. Either way I think he's out for the year regardless but we'll see.

At this point Id be shocked if he wasnt lost for the season and into training camp. Did not look good.

But I thought the same thing about Gronk's injury so we'll see.

Those non-contact injuries always seem to lead to bad news though.

We all thought Cromartie would be done in week one when he was carted off. Let's hope we get lucky again.

Jeez. Guy can't catch a break. Hopefully it's just a sprain.

There's only 3 games left. He's likely done for the year whatever it is. Agree, pdx, hopefully it is a sprain.

I'm hoping it's just a sprain. Unlike some, I still have high hopes for the kid. The kid has great talent and I was expecting a big jump from him in his second season ala Calvin Pryor (who btw was also called a bust in his 1st season by some of these impatient fans)

If it were an Idzik pick, people would be calling him a bust now.

I never liked him anyway and was one of the few at the time of the draft not very happy with the pick.

People have been calling him a bust since the fumble in the Buffalo game.

The kid has potential but he wasnt a 2nd round talent.

Still would rather have him on the field and developing before I label him a failure though.

Hoping for a sprain similar to what Cro and Gronk had, really sucks he got hurt. It sucks that it was on special teams too

He really needed to stay on the field and finish strong. Now he goes into the offseason a question mark like McDougal. The Jets will need to move on. Shame for him, it seems like the Jets players were really pulling for him.

Agree. If he was drafted too high or not it's meaningless now. I want him to succeed. Similar people labeled Pryor a bust last year so I'm not at all concerned about short term opinions or sentimentality. He is a Jet now and has potential to be very, very good. He needs time on the field of play.

Part of me is eager to see Kenbrell Thompkins back in there getting some PT.

Would be a rough loss.. YES, it would be.. Feel for the guy. Praying it's just a sprain like Cro's earlier in the season. I was there against Cleveland and I immediately thought he was gone for the season.. Smith's didn't look good, either. Pray the football gods are with us.

His bad luck started in TC

    hope he pulls thru

If Eugene was our QB we would be 5-8 and the Hospitals filled with Jet receivers

We have such bad luck with second round picks......Who's the last second round pick that actually made a lasting impact?
