This guy could save our defensive backfield. Won't come cheap but is young and we have the money.

Also stealing one of the best DB's from our rivals is never bad.
    What do you think?

I thought FA didn't open up until March 10. Was he cut?

Edit: Clubs can begin contact on March 7, but still not a FA until March 10. Speculation should remain in the FA "shopping list" thread

No but he wasn't franchised so he will probably be headed for FA

This one makes too much sense. Need to roll out the red carpet for him.
    1) Jets need secondary help (will pay for it anyway)
    2) Makes the Pats worse.
    3) Another local guy. Rutgers and Nyack.

Can we simply mention these things in the two large FA threads rather than making a new thread for each guy.

That being said. I would LOVE McCourty here. #1 FA target IMO

He's perfect for this defense to play center field. He doesn't give up big plays, tackles well and has man to man cover skills. Bowles has to be salivating over him as he would allow Pryor to maximize his skill set in playing down hill and even allow us to play 3 safety sets with AA being a nickel or dime down linebacker to cover tightends.

    Bingo.

And that makes him even more valuable.

Signing this guy automatically makes both safety spots strengths.

If we can start free agency by adding Worilds, Cro, and McCourty and resigning Mo, that would be a hell of a start to FA.

I'd be excited to have him at FS. I'd also trust Bowles to put him in a position to succeed and play to his strengths

Sign this beast. We'd have to make him prob one of the highest paid safeties in the league - however great free safeties are hard to find.

I don't think Pryor has a skillset. He looks tiny out there, can't tackle, can't cover. He delivered zero big hits all year, which is supposedly his trademark. Big time swing and miss by the clueless ex-GM.

I would love to add McCourty though.

This move really seems to make perfect sense in every way.

I would love nothing more than taking McCourtey from NE.
