He has amazing speed, although hes combine 40 wasnt that great, at his pro Day at miami he ran a 4.32 and 4.37 thats pretty amazing. Hes gonna become a real good return man in the NFL, Jets have no need for him, but hes still a weapon because he can WR or CB like he did in college.
He ran with tennis shoes on at the combine because he listened to some incredible moron that told him it would make him faster. It's pretty amazing he ran as well as he did considering that. At the Pro day he had his stuff together and showed the track speed that teams need to see. I really do think he'll be drafted and worked as a corner at the next level, hopefully it's a team with the talent to BURY him on the depth chart and start from scratch with his development. Kid's natural talent is definitely worth the time to bring it out.
haha that is hillarious that he ran with those on, when I was wathcing it, for some random reason i looked down at his shoes and they looked real wierd.
haha the irony...he has the talent but for some reason can't ever put it together i would like hester as a project if he slips to the 4th rd, but we're a team right now that doesn't have the luxury of gambling on projects, we need some sure, solid football players
Yeah, he's not a good fit at all for the Jets. The fact that we have Justin Miller is reason enough to know we don't need Devin, very similar type of player. Late 2nd is when I expect him to go, a team deep at corner who can afford to use a pick on a player such as him, who won't contribute for a while besides special teams.
yep i totally agree we will never touch hester, which is fine, but I wouldnt look at MIller as this great Return man i mean the guy fumbled how many balls last year on kickoffs?
Kid was just a rookie, he's got tremendous return skills. He just needs some time to develop, he'll be a very good returner in the NFL. Once he got it together he showed some great flashes.
How can we forget? If you think about it, we'd have the 2nd overall pick if it wasn't for his KR returned for a TD.
