I love my yankees and DJ is my favorite player, he is the most clutch baseball player probably in history, is a great hitter, and proved once again in the WBC that he can hit even without spring training.

He is a really good defensive player and was great defensive player a couple of times.

Well, the point of this thread is to bring up something astonishing.

Derek jeter can be the only baseball player in history to play every year of his career in the playoffs!!!!! Wow, how many games in total is that? How many at bats? How many hits total? RBI's? Runs scored?

Derek jeter right now is tops in those categories since his rookie season, and will be the only champion in 2 diffrent centuries in recent time.

Yankees rule... And you all know you had derek jeter as your shortstop.

Didn't he just win a Gold Glove? I'm sure that usually means you're a pretty darn good fielder.

Although Jeter's defense has recently improved dramatically, the GG is really a worthless award. Andruw Jones wins the GG every year, and he hasn't been a good defensive player in years.
