Certainly not a huge Carr guy but he’s average to above average and that’s all we need right now. I’d much rather wrap up a deal with him asap over letting Rodgers run our lives for the next month.

You might see that, but that’s in your dreams. The going rate for avg right now is gonna be 40-50m annual with most guaranteed. Carr has multiple teams vying for him. It’s gonna take the most money to sign him.
Ok, 40-50m per season, most guaranteed, 6 years minimum. We’re competing with at least the Saints, and at least one or two if TB, CAR, HOU, WAS, ATL. It’s going to take a contract much larger than his current actual value based on performance
Spotrac has his market value as 37.7M AAV. I think that's right in line with what I thought it'd be and I'd sign up for a 4 year/150-155M contract right now.
Why do you think 6 years is the minimum? Has that been reported anywhere? I highly doubt Carr gets a 6 year deal.
The talk of Daniel Jones is running between 40-45m per season which is why they’ll (Giants) likely franchise him. If that’s Daniel Jones territory then how in the world do you figure Carr is less?
Because he’s not signing for 4 years. He’s the top FA QB in a needy market. QB value has skyrocketed and he’s gonna get paid a shit ton. I hope to God not by us but we’ll see. He’s going to be the modern day Kirk Cousins.
6 years was the initial reports I saw, which makes sense given his age, current value, and market need. He’s going to get a monster contract.

Woody did say he'd pony up for the right guy. So far, Carr seems like the rock of Gibraltar compared to Rodgers in a dark cave trying to figure out his future. Carr would be the better investment if you're looking further than 2 years down the road. I can imagine Zwilson actually learning more from Carr than he would from his Idol.
Can you source that for me? Just tried to google it and didn't see anything specifically saying he wants a 6 year deal. He's going to get a good contract, as he should. But I don't see that going too far above 40M-ish on AAV.
