This is really starting to get stupid. 6 days before the season starts and we have no depth chart. If Mangini expects to keep up this alphabetical order stuff all season he's really gonna start to look immature, or that he is being different just so he can say he is. We need to know what players will be taking the field before Sunday at 1.
Why do we as fans need to know the depth chart? You'll be watching the game right? What's the big deal?
exactly. it isn't imperative we know the depth chart. we'll see who plays where on Sunday. i have no qualms with the clandestine approach. cheers
As others have already said, no we don't. I am assuming that the players know who the starters are by this point, and that's the only thing that matters. As to the entire season, anyone watching the games will certainly know who is starting and who is replacing them during the game, right?
There is a date (I think sept 10th) when all of the managers have to submit their depth charts to the NFL commish. When that happens, the depth chart will probably be posted on the website
Complaining about the depth chart... will it never end? So many Jet fans are whining crybabies. If you have been watching, you'd know who the starters are, and what the depth chart looks like. What's the point in a dpeth chart for the RB's for instance? Blaylock is going to start, Barlow will get some carries too. Ah, nevermind.
Those fans complaining about not having a depth chart are no doubt the same children that cried the loudest and longest when their mothers did not change their wet diapers fast enough........
 Here's Cimini's guess depth chart for those who just have to know....NOW. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=10904
As a fantasy football team owner it can be important......and it also matters to me as a fan its information about a team that is made available to fans of every other team, except for ours apparently.
I could give a rats ass if I know the depth chart at this present moment. The best players will be out there come Sunday.
What player do you have on your team that you're considering starting but may not start for the Jets?
Two things on depth charts: 1) if it obligated a coach to start the #1's, it would be significant. But to the best of my knowledge, it doesn't. So it's meaningless really. 2) Mangini said on Saturday or Sunday that he will group players around the packages necessary to win the game (a la New England). So unless he were obligated to list a depth chart based on situation, then it doesn't really tell you who will be on the field at any given moment.
no player who is on the cusp of either being a starter and/or riding the pine should be chosen to start on a fantasy football team...much less from the jets if you are banking your whole season on the hands of Jerrico Cotchery, you should look back at your team and figure out where you went wrong. Im guess it was from the first pick and on....:rofl2:
"Don't ride my ass when you haven't even proven that you'll stick around when the Jets are 2-8......" Stick around???? I have been a Jet fan since I think it was 1961 when they were the New York Titans playing at the Polo Grounds in the Bronx. They played Saturday nights in those days because they could not compete for audience against the National Football League in those days on Sunday afternoons. The Jets were in the American Football League in those days and you had to listen to the games on radio. They had no TV contract then. My GREATEST day as a Jets fan (NO- sports fan) was when the Jets beat the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III in January 1969 (I was 22 at the time --- I am 59 now). ALL my friends in those days were Giant fans (thus rooting for the Colts) and MOCKED the Jets all the time to me BEFORE that great victory. After the game, I LOVED strutting down my street trying to find all the Giant fans that were in HIDING........A GREAT TIME for sure.....
