I definately have to question Ourlad's feelings on our depth chart...Dyson not starting, Baker behind Jolley?

Finally a depth chart with which I agree at LB

    OLB-Thomas
    ILB-Barton
    ILB-Vilma
    OLB-Hobson

I cant stand people posting their depth charts looking like Barton/Kassell/Vilma/Hobson/. These people need a serious lesson in football theory, and FAST

The Jets site still has Chrebet listed on its roster so he hasnt officially retired yet, unless they are keeping him on as an honor.

Man, I'd love if he could play another year. I'm going to miss him.

Hobson is the perfect 3-4 OLB on the TE side...

Id rather have Barton on the outside....plus I don't see Dyson NOT starting.

i'm also wondering why Barton is a better fit at ILB than Hobson...

i know Hobson has some experience at ILB from Michigan; i think Hobson is a bit stockier and stronger, and a better tackler than Barton. those traits seem to suit ILB's. Barton isn't fast, but he seems to cover ground quicker, although I think Hobson takes better angles to the ball.

and now i'm totally confused. i'm debating myself and losing.

can someone clarify why Barton is a better suited for ILB than Hobson?

    cheers

Its not so much that Barton's a better fit at ILB than Hobson, rather than Hobson's a better fit at OLB. Hes our best blitzer after Thomas, and in order to effectively play the 3-4, the OLB has to be able to rush the QB. Im still not comfortable about him being our only option, I wouldve liked to see us pursue an OLB through the draft, but after we lost out on Gocong, there wasnt anybody really better than Hobson left. So we drafted Schlegal, Barton's eventual replacement at ILB.

Are you trying to kill the guy? He plays with complete abandom. So you know he will get hit in the head again. Another hit in the head and he will be a vegetable.

I am a huge Chrebet fan myself, that is why I want him to be retired. He gave his all for the team, now it is his to be with his family and run his businesses. I want to see him bask in the fame and appreciation of us Jets fans for the rest of his life, not end up drinking his food out of a straw.

As for Ourlads, it has so much listed inaccurately, I don't think anything is credible.
