Clemens would be a perfect fit. They have a disgruntled WR and we need one. Can a deal be worked out? I hope so. If we are to live with rookie mistakes, it is better thet they come from Sanchez and not a 4 year QB. I supported giving Kellen a legit. sshot at being our #1 QB. he blew it by not seizing the opportunity! Sayonara! Ainge looked pretty darn good in the past two preseason games. Sign an older vet QB and away we go with KC to Denver!
what are the chances that McDaniels has no game film on Clemens....and pulls the trigger on a trade. Answer: Slim to none.....and Slim just got shot in the face.
I think Ainge is on par or better than Clems but he is not enough to pry Marshall loose without other incentives.
You forgot to mention why they need one. Simms has a high ankle sprain and will miss 2-4 weeks...or more
I think Vinny "T" is on his couch itchin.....har har har But to be honest your right. Its moot point only because in reality it wont happen.
Every time Kellen Clemens drops back to pass, Vernon Gholston forgets a little more about how to play football.
I think Ainge is suited for the #2 role. Pizzotti or w/e his name is can play #3. "Well we need a QB that has played more than 2 years on this offense." If clemens was useful he would be our starting QB. goodbye kellen.
I actually have really liked what I've seen from Ainge. I could see Clemmens and a #2 for Marshall being a fair deal.
if Denver is desparate enough for an average backup QB, maybe they'll not only trade Marshall but give us a number 1 pick as well. I mean, backup QB's are apparently extremely valuable if you trade a number 1 receiver for them.
I'm comfortable with Ainge as the #2 if it means getting Marshall and giving up Clemens as part of the trade. Do it Tanny! This might be grasping at straws, but perhaps a deal could be worked out where give them our #1 and Clemens, and we get back Marshall and some sort of average backup OL?
