http://espn.go.com/blog/acc/post/_/id/8484/clemson-defenders-to-return-in-2010 Now people can finally take him out of their mock drafts. McDaniel initially said that he wanted to stay in school and get his degree to be a good role model for his younger brother and sister, and then said he may have to reconsider if he's given a 1st round grade. I was never too worried that he'd declare early. He's a great all-around player and a good person as well -- the complete package.
He'll lose himself a lot of money if he gets injured. Earl Thomas entering the draft really hurt his chances of being a top three safety prospect. Like I said in the reply to the arrogant PM you sent me: McDaniel is stupid as shit if he thinks Clemson will win the ACC without CJ Spiller.
I believe all the PM said was "We should have bet." Not very arrogant, considering I could have been after we debated back and forth a while ago and you were so adamant on him declaring while I kept saying that you should take him out of your lists since he would not declare. What you said about Earl Thomas is also untrue and isn't a reason for McDaniel staying in school. Earl Thomas has said he will stay in school, which will remain that way unless he has a huge game in the championship and changes his mind. Regardless, he has already voiced that he will return to Texas for his junior season so that could not have had any effect. Just to keep an open mind, you would have said the same thing about Bryan Bulaga if he said he was staying in school last year to win a Big 10 title without Shonn Greene.
The Advisory Board clearly believes there are better safety prospects than DeAndre McDaniel. That's why he's staying... CJ Spiller and Jacoby Ford were the only reason Clemson won a ton of their games. Just to keep an open mind, you're still a Falcons fan posing as a Jets fan. Everything you say about this team is based off of Madden ratings and playing cards.
Did we trade back 7 spots in the first for a player the falcons will cut yet? That seemed like such a great move for "both" teams at the time. Perhaps the have a guy on thier pratice squad we could trade a second rounder for this offseason? Let us know TheFalconsGM, Looking forward ot it!!
Jennings showed some life while filling in for MJD when he gets tired. I expect him to become more of a factor next season. The others. Meh.
You're right, a good #2 RB (Jennings), a starting nickelback that rotates in with starting CBs (Burnett), a WR that plays in 4 WR sets and will end up being a starter in a couple of seasons (Edison), and a safety that has filled in as a starter this season and been a special teams ace (Bruton) are all terrible Day 2 Picks. Brandon Tate has basically been on IR since Day 1 because he is still recovering from his knee surgery from his last season at UNC. Knowing this, the Pats still drafted him on Day 2. Lee Robinson has bounced from team to team, and that's because every team that signs him runs a 4-3. I don't know why they're signing him, as his best fit by far is inside a 3-4. He's raw but he has the talent to do well there. Mark Parson is on the Texans active roster and is a dime back. "Day 2" prospects did not mean 3rd and 4th round prospects, maybe with the exception of Jennings. I put overlooked guys that I liked on that list that would fall to the back end of Day 2 of that draft. So far a decent amount of them have done really well in just their rookie seasons. And yes, I will update it. I didn't even realize it was still there.
Its from last draft. He had a mock where the Jets traded down in the first round with Atlanta his "other favorite team" for Ben Hartstock. Then spent several posts defending the Jets trading down the 7 spots for a guy the Dirty Birds would cut later that offseason. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=44173
Oh, now I get it. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! My favorite part was bringing in the loudmouthed, drunk driving rapist TE from the Bucs.
