Makes sense, they need a solid run game to take the pressure off of Mariahto and they have a bazillion dollars to spend this season
The Eagles are desperately trying to de-Chip-ify the roster. They also sent Byron Maxwell and Kiko Alonso to Miami.
Philly going through a rebuild the right way..if only they didnt bid against themselves for Bradford. Kinda just proof that this free agency period means zip. 1 year later and they are dealing everything they got last offseason away.
After they pick Tunsil they'll have 3 first round picks on the OL. Add Murray and a couple WRs in the draft and you might have the makings of an exciting offense.
I thought Antonio Andrews had really good potential with them. Can't say that was a good trade, too bad we wouldn't be able to grab Antonio Andrews from their roster.
Eagles doing a fantastic job shedding all this useless salary. Now they can go after some real players.
Fletcher Cox is about to get his pay-day. He's gonna get like 70M guaranteed lol ... Eagles are destroying the market for the Jets
Awful line and no playmakers. They build a line and give him a top flight RB, a few WRs and watch Mariota take off. _
How is it a bad trade? They have tons of cap space and needed a rb. Andrews isn't good. Sankey is a bust
Kiko is a weird one to drop, he never even got a chance to play for them- I guess they dont want a guy that injury prone/may need to sweeten the pot for someone to take on a terrible contract for Maxwell
He's a beast. They have a lot of really, really good d-linemen. Schwartz is going to turn that defense around.
He played a lot for them, he just wasn't any good. The trade is interesting because Schwartz had Kiko in Buffalo and decided to trade him the second time around with the Eagles. Must be something about him he didn't like. Of course durability is a concern with him, but theres a lot of scuddle that Kiko isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.
It's a bad trade for a lot of reasons. Murray had only one good season. No one has a clue whether he is actually good, or whether it was just because the Cowboys oline was ridiculous. To take on his absurd contract before those questions are answered is a risk, and a stupid and unnecessary risk considering the other RB free agents and draft eligible prospects which come much cheaper. I don't know if it's official, but there was rumor they got him for a 3rd round pick. If true, that's a terrible, terrible deal.
I thought he went down for the season again in week 2? Guess I was way off- A shame that his knee has pretty much derailed what looked like a promising player.
Whaaa?? The man had over 1000 yards in 2013 and averaged more than 5 yards a carry in both 2013 and 2011. I'm not judging the deal. I'm just pointing out that he had more than "1 good season".
I never said it was a bad trade, I think the Titans could've spent their money on a more explosive running back, because that offense doesn't have a home run hitter. I think Doug Martin would've been a better fit. I just don't think he fits that's offense at all. I also thought Andrews was solid give that the offensive line is a POS.
