What do you guys think of this guy? I think he is the best QB in this years draft. I would love for the Jets to draft him. He fits this WCO.

He sat behind Kaepernick at Nevada, ended up leaving Nevada going to some college in California and ended up at San Jose. He fits the WCO very well and has flown way under the radar.

I hope so. Tanny was to busy looking at what free agents he could get, im sure on draft night he was looking at free agents in the war room.

He's the dark horse candidate to be one of the better QBs in this draft. He's the 2nd most accurate QB next to Bridgewater. People believe he's no good because of arm strength, but that attribute is very much overrated. If a guy can throw guys open accurately that is a talent not many QBs have.

I would like to get him or Mettenberger in the 3rd / 4th

He has very good accuracy, 64% last season and 72% in 2012.

Not in the northeast, it's not. We've already seen how the Jets fared with a QB with a below average NFL arm, and he was a MUCH better prospect than Fales coming out. I have zero interest in Fales.

From what I've read and seen, he seems like a really intriguing prospect. I'd like to see the Jets grab a QB at some point in this draft and he seems like a good option - always like to see a QB with good accuracy and intangibles.

From the limited tape I've seen, I don't like him at all. His arm looks weak to me.

This ^ -- fewer windows to throw through and easier for the ball to 'sit up' (and DBs to break on) in cold, bustery conditions. Derek Carr has the northeast late-in-the-season 'arm' you'd need. Only problem with him is he ran a spread offense at Fresno State.

His arm is average at best in regards to arm strength. His arm strength has been compared to Andy Dalton.

That is the Jets offense, which is why he would be a fit. Dalton doesn't struggle with average arm strength in a division with cold weather games - again that's fine you have 0 interest in Fales, but that does not mean the Jets won't

Tom Brady has average arm strength and he does pretty well for himself as well.

By biggest issue with this prospect is his last name. "Fales" is the easiest pun in the world to make. Fucking Giants fans and Patriots fans (and the media, of course) would love it.

    "Fales fails again, lolololol"

    Not fun.

To begin with, I think Tom Brady's arm is above average by a pretty good margin.

Comparing Fales to Andy Dalton doesn't say much for Fales. I don't think Dalton is a bad QB, but he isn't great, either, and I don't think his arm would be good enough for MetLife Stadium in NJ.

MM likes to take shots down the field. That helps keep Ds honest and from crowding too many men in the box to stop the run, and/or jumping on the shorter routes. I don't think Fales is a good option/prospect for the Jets. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

Absolutely wrong. Brady does not have an above average arm in terms of strength. It is average. What makes Brady special is ball-placement, accuracy, and footwork.

Fales can do this. Again that is fine, you do not believe he is a good prospect for the Jets - but again you are not part of the Jets FO :p

David Fales is a very good QB that is very accurate on short to intermediate passes and would do well in a quick strike short passing game.

To say he is the best QB in this draft is incredibly stupid.

He does not have the arm to drive the ball deep or outside the hashmarks more than 10 yards downfield. Like the player, very accurate with a quick release and he might be very successful in the right system and in the right climate but he's not half the prospect of 8 other guys in this draft.

He's definitely not the best QB in this draft.

He will be a nice backup in this league if he lands in a short passing scheme. But he doesn't project as a starter in the next level to me. If a team wants to groom a backup QB, he would be a nice selection in the later rounds.
