With a 4.3 40 and he seems to make plays is he better than stuckey and smith? Dont remember him from VaTech
hard to say at this point whether or not he's better, but we he should definitely get a roster spot, as well as as some PT this season.
Yeah, I remember when we drafted the guy over in Green Bay. At the time, he was mostly drafted for kick returns because he is FAST... but maybe his hands are getting better to make him a legit threat? Don't know, can't watch the game here.
I think Clowney has the speed to do some damage....he's obviously having a good camp, and has done some damage in the Cle game thus far. I hope he makes the team.
The problem with him at Virginia Tech is that they didn't have any solid pocket passers for him to be a huge threat. I think he led the team as a junior in catches, but he got hurt for a few games. He's always been fast, but VT receivers dont really get showcased very well in college. I like what I've seen so far
This kid's gonna be a player, man. I hope I'm not getting gassed on one play, but dude looks like he has the tools to be effective in spots.
With Favre at the Helm , we now have the 5 wide/4 Wide+TE option. Coles Cotch Stuckey Clowney Keller Smith Fukin Scary people!
 thanks RT. that Wideout depth chart does look good....and with Favre at the helm now...there's some real potential here!
If he keeps playing like this in camp and in the games, he could be the Jets' slot receiver opening day.
Then you weren't watching much of VT. Very good player, and obviously he had a heck of a game tonight. Definitely hope he is on the opening day roster.
I just want to see a guy named "Clowney" smoke some DB's. Have to say he looked pretty good even if it is preseason.
I graduated from VT in the same class as Clowney. Hes got great speed, GREAT hands, and showed surprisingly good sideline awareness at the collegiate level. The problem is that VT doesnt run much of a passing game, so coming out he was kinda unrefined as a route runner i guess. Hes got the tools though, if hes serious about learning and works with LC and the other vets he could be a good one.
