anyone ever hear of him? he played for the jets from 1964-1973... was apart of the Superbowl team...well anyway at my job, im a waiter at a place were they host weddings and other parties. Today there was a party for my schools youth football team and i was working it. He was there and gave a speech. Nice guy...and the 69 ring looks nice too!
Of course I remember Dave Herman. He neutralized Bubba Smith in SB III, and Mean Joe Greene said he was the only guy he couldn't beat in either league.
He did the radio color with Marty Glickman in the 70s, back when the home games were blacked out on TV. Never saw him play, but I remember him on the radio.
I've met him a couple of times and got his autograph at training camp about 8 years ago or so. Good player who went to a few pro bowls in the late 60s. I guess if you saw the ring, you saw the size of his hands. That guy has some of the biggest paws I've ever seen. Had a bunch of knee problems and wasn't walking too well the last time I saw him, how did he look to you? Just curious...
Clearly shows that U are a member of the infant brigade on this board. Dave Herman was a starter for us in SB3 & excelled in that game. Maybe you should secure a copy of a tape of the game & catch up on NYJ history
Man, the elitism on you lately. Plus the guys a fin fan, you really expect him to know a Jets player from 30 years ago?
Sure the game was played in Miami so even if he is a blowhole fan he should have checked out the info 1st right?
No not at all more cranky cause someone does not use the assets that are out there before asking silly questions
