HAHAHA Quote of the day! Anyways I think we've found a way he contribute... now let's see him work more on his route running skills.
It's nice to finally see Woodhead get some reps, he's been on the roster long enough. After being all but completely eliminated from playoff contention, might as well see what the back of the roster can do. Judging by his limited play, Woodhead could be a weapon.
Thank you nyjetsrule, thought with the 30 catches the prick had against us everyone would at the least know he was both white and #83
was thrilled to see them find a way to properly use Woodhead. he made some good plays when given the opportunity.
I just don't get all the man love for Danny Woodhead. Nice story, but nice stories don't help you win games. He's a liablility on Teams and doesn't contribute. Did anyone notice we cut Woodhead and no other team looked twice? He looked like an all-pro in a pre-season game vs. players that are now working at Burger King.
He definitely contributed today, it was a small contribution but that reception moved the chains and showed he is showing some progression in practice as a slot receiver. Hopefully by next year he can our consistent slot receiver we need.
I call it Chrebet Syndrome. Jets fans want a small Rudy type to make it big time and make that blue collar guy with heart take them all the way. Its no different then rooting for Kellen Clemens.
I enjoy your posts and respect your opinion and all, but what did you want him to do? Make more then 1 play on 1 play? This is his first month as a WR and he didn't look awful when he got his chances. We aren't declaring him the answer to our team but he showed a spark and that gives us some hope that he may develop into a solid player at the end of the day.
NYJ624............I'm not trying to start trouble, not my style. Just offering my opinion and another way to look at Woodhead. Too many people on this board are blinded with hopeful optimism. Woodhead is a good story, but if we can upgrade our Roster with a better player I'm all for it.
