Bleacher Report on Twitter: "Dan Snyder has agreed to sell the Washington Commanders for $6 billion to a group led by 76ers managing partner Josh Harris and including Magic Johnson, per @Sportico It would be the highest price ever paid for a sports team. https://t.co/xJDlSKSQyW" / Twitter
I didn't think the NFL allowed for a guy to own a sports franchise in a different city than the one they intended to purchase? I remember the Seahawks had to get a special waiver when Paul Allen bought them since he owned the Portland Trailblazers. The waiver allowed for it since the NFL didn't have a franchise in Portland. But the NFL does in Philadelphia so how is this gonna work
LOL $6b. Elon Musk could buy all 32 teams and STILL have over $70b left for killer cheer squads! Cars and rockets are where it's at!
Commanders were denied a trademark for their name and now there is speculation that the new owner may change the name.... again haha
Washington Swamp Rats. (That should be good until someone makes good on the promise to "drain the swamp.")
