Cincy is for real. Sweeping the Ravens and Steelers. I would never have beleived it at the beginning of the season. These guys are real contenders.
Carson Palmer is completely healthy...that's what the Bengals needed. Also, it helps that Cedric Benson has become half of the back he was supposed to be in Chicago. The Bengals are a very, very good team that keeps getting better.
what a difference having a healthy Carson Palmer, a run game and a stellar defense can make. EDIT: Electric beat me to the punch....well done, lad.
Don't forget they are missing some good players too like Odom... that makes it even more impressive! Let's see how they handle Benson/Henry injury though... I think they need another RB to share the carries. I'm not going to say his name but one does in fact come to mind... they had no problem adding thugs to the roster... one more won't hurt right? http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/11/16/source-larry-johnson-working-out-with-bengals-on-monday/ looks like I'm right Johnson and Benson sharing carries wouls be great... like having to trucks paving the way.
Its true their offense is healthy again. But the real difference is their defense. They actually can shut people down - on the road no less. Thats the real difference. This years playoffs are going to be wild.
Sorry NYJ2k I'm not using you as the butt of any joke. I just saw this while reviewing the other thread
He's the #3 receiver on the team after Ochocinco and Caldwell (although his stats are very similar to Caldwell's): 27 receptions for 294 yards in 8 games (10.9 yards per catch), with 3 TDs.
He's had one good game so far for them. Caldwell has been a go to guy for Palmer and so was Henry before his injury.
They've been in the same system for how many year??? Now how many years have the Jets been in their system.
