Dak Prescott out here balling out, meanwhile Hackenburg can't even see the field

Prescott looked really good, yeah first preseason game and all but he looked like he'd been taking NFL snaps for years.

 

Hackenburg was a legit 4th rounder, not a 2nd rounder. MacCagnan must have owed a favor to Bill O'Brien.

 

I'd like to see Hack get a few snaps but I'm getting the feeling he's nowhere near this point. I'm predicting a stubbed toe and IR before week 1.

 

The Jets knew going in that Hack would take at least a year to develop. There's no reason to rush him out there when he isn't ready. I'd rather see more of Petty and Geno right now because they are more important to the short term success of the team. Next year they can better evaluate where he is at when Fitz and Geno are both free agents.

 

And what would the year on IR do for Hack's development? I keep seeing people thinking he is going to go on IR with a phantom injury but it would make no sense.

I'm not going to write the guy off. I didn't like the pick mainly because he apparently acted like a douche during interviews and he sucked when the offense was changed, but he also didn't get the opportunity to play a PS game behind that Dallas oline throwing to Dez Bryant.

Hack to IR doesn't make a lot of sense unless he actually gets injured. The dude needs practice reps even if its only a handful per practice. A player on IR doesn't get to practice with the team until the season is over (Patriots excluded).

Dak Prescott has impressed the fuck out of me. He always finds the open man, his footwork is GREAT...

He did get bailed out on a pick tonight but damn... Fuck the Cowboys, they don't deserve to get this lucky. This fucking kid looks excellent.

 

fully agree this guy looks like the second coming. i swear he looks like a right handed young mike vick......unfukinbelievable. Cowboys have drafted well early recent drafts (OL) and looks like they also have a 4th round steal.

jets have picked how many QB's in the last 2 decades. no steals for us.
