    Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan announced Thursday, April 24, the Broncos sent a 2009 conditional draft pick to the New York Jets for DL Dewayne Robertson.

    Updating a previous report, John Murphy, of Yahoo! Sports, reports the pair of Day Two draft picks the New York Jets are going to receive for DL Dewayne Robertson from the Denver Broncos could be split between the 2008 and 2009 seasons or the Jets could receive a high conditional pick in 2009. The pick could go as high as the third or fourth round.

    Updating a previous report, John Murphy, of Yahoo! Sports, reports the New York Jets have formally agreed to send DL Dewayne Robertson to the Denver Broncos for a pair of Day Two selections in the 2008 NFL Draft. Robertson came to an agreement on a new contract with the Broncos that will lower his salary cap figure for the upcoming season. The move saved the Jets over $8 million in cap space. The team is expected to receive two of the five picks the Broncos have between the fourth and sixth rounds.

    The New York Jets have traded defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson to the Denver Broncos for a late-round conditional 2009 draft choice, reports NFL Networks' Adam Schefter.

    Robertson is a five-year veteran. After being taken by the Jets with the fourth overall pick in 2003, he has started 75 games with 256 tackles and 14.5 sacks
