I could not agree with you more..If these were the chouses eventhough they are not the flashy RB QB WR pick people like to see, they will secure our line for the next 10 years..Also not getting Runyon D-Brick will have to be the obvious pick

You don't waste the number 4 on a position we do not need! RT, C, and G are our needs. Adrian Jones is a fine lt.

Hey finally someone I agree with. D'brick #4, Mangold #29, and Brenstien #35. Start with a good base of role players and then find your superstar. Player makers cant win without role players.

ingredients for winning in the N.F.L.... ponund the rock at will against anybody(steelers, seattle) and play good D (steelers, seattle) get an o line that dominates and a d-line that stuffs the run= winning games in the n.f.l. sounds easy but drafting morons like vince young isn't the answer. build inside out!!!

Have you seen Adrian Jones play? He's average at best. We need to solidify our line. D'Brick would be the perfect pick at the 4. The 29th pick is a toss up, but I wouldn't mind picking Mangold either.

Although unlikely but very possible what would you do if the picks were
    #4 D'brick
    #29 Mangold
    #35 Max Jean Gilles

i personally wouldn't like to see it but they are the best in each of there respected positions and our QB whomever it may be would have 10 seconds to throw.

I think the general feeling on this thread is right on the mark. First we need to build an o-line. Without an o-line we could have Joe Montana and Walter Payton in our backfield and it wouldn't make a difference. Since this draft is particularly deep with OL and we have Adrian Jones I think it would be in our best interest to trade down, acquire draft picks and go after guys like McNeil, Mangold, Winston, Jean-Gilles, Whitworth, Scott, Eslinger, and O'Callaghan. If we stay at #4 then we should draft a difference maker on defense and focus the rest of our picks on the OL. With a solid D and young OL we will be building a solid foundation for the next 5-10 years...

I don't think Mangold will be there @ #29. Tha's why we needed a better pick!

Honestly if we draft two olineman with our 2 1st... this team deserves to lose the next 10 years

Couldn't have said it better myself. This is what I have been saying for weeks. Although I could live with trading down to get more picks, I would like to see Brick a Jet.

People keep saying Jones is young and cheap and solid. I don't want a solid/average LT when there is an opportunity to have a franchise LT, which I think Brick will be. And LT, a position that safeguards the QB, is not a position where "cheap" is a good thing.
