Hey, Curtis was hurt the last couple of games last season. I seem to remember he had some surgery (maybe on his knee?). I can't remember the details. Did he have the surgery? Did he have to rehab? How did it go? Was it a serious injury? Anyone have any information on this? Also, if curtis is healthy I think he will have a MUCH better year than last year. We had crap for an offensive line with no run blocking. Anyone remember that one play toward the end of the season where our boy Curtis wasnt even blocked at all for? He got absolutely flattened in the backfield! That chit is NOT happening this year, i will tell you that. I was so pissed when I saw that play. That was what he and the rest of the skill players were dealing with all last season. Letting defenders run free to kill your RB in the back field is unacceptable! Man I am still pissed off thinking about it LOL. Anyway, if anyone has some info on the condition of the great one please post it. Also, if you remember that one play I am talking about where Curtis was all but murdered as soon as he touched the ball in the backfield, express if ya like. Two years ago Martin had the rushing title. The next year his offensive line was broken down so bad that he had no way at all to do his job. What can we expect this year from the great one? Who knows. If you were thinking he is starting to decline in abilities from looking at last years performance, well then you are not getting your information from a reputable source. Take his performance from the year before when he had the right tools to perform in my opinion. Those who write off Curtis Martin with decent line help will be in for a surprise. All good coaches in the NFL know this. I will tell you one thing, I will not be betting against Curtis Martin with a good Oline. Anyone with a half of a brain should agree. Everytime the press discounts C, he comes back mows the lawn.
Curtis was actually hurt week 2 against Miami. Not many people give him credit for nearly running for 1000 yards on a knee that had torn ligaments. He had surgery and im sure his rehab is going just fine. I expect Martin to split carries with Cedric Houston, but I also expect Martin to have a good season as well. Just in a smaller role. I would imagine that Martin would get about 15 carries a game. That would total up to about 240 carries, but I believe that one of the RB's will eventually take over by midseason.
i remember that play because he knew he wasa about to get nailed and covered the bal up. I said, Ohhhhhhhhhh, when it happened, and clicked refresh on the gameday thread, only to see liek 10 other "ouches" and "ohhhs." I forgot who they were playin gthough
