Curtis should get in this time, and deservedly so.

It would be fitting if Parcells and Martin made it together.

Cool. I have a lot of respect and admiration for Parcells and C Martin.

Martin should get in this year and rightfully so. The man was a great football player.

That '98 team is the reason I'm a jets fan. These 2 getting in together might be the next best thing to a super bowl for me. Good luck to two incredibly deserving men.

Martin and Parcells both deserve it. Obviously, Tuna is getting in more on his Giants' resume than his one from the Jets.

If they both get in, me and my father will be in Canton for the ceremony. Hell, even if C-Mart gets in w/o Tuna. Martin deserves it this time.

If Bettis gets in ahead of Martin, I'll be pissed.

I think LT knocking him from 5th to 6th all time could slightly help with that. It would be a damn shame if bettis got in before him.

Bettis was not the better player. It is not debatable. If Bettis gets in before Martin then the voters are basing it on the fact that Bettis played as a backup on a Super Bowl-winning team.

Yeah, but could the voters even consider putting the 6th leading rusher of all time in before the 4th leading rusher of all time? It would make no sense.

There is no way it would make sense, but some of these people are swayed heavily by individuals with Super Bowl rings in the ultimate TEAM sport.

I get that, but if you look at Bettis that season, he watched almost as much as a Steelers fan did.

Yeah, I noted that in an earlier post. Problem is some people seem to treat it as if Bettis was the key to the Super Bowl win. I have seen many people argue Bettis over Martin strictly because of the ring.

I might be wrong, but wasn't Bettis the Steeler who fumbled the ball vs. the Colts, which allowed Ben to make the epic tackle?
