This is from a Minnesota newspaper. Would it be too much to ask that Brees lands in New Orleans, Daunte in Tennessee and the Jets have their pick of QB at the number 4. Although teams would be knocking at the Saints and Titans door to trade up if that happened.
Probably, I see them going with a younger QB though with capable starters in Volek and McNair already on the roster. I'd be thrilled if Leinart fell to us, but it won't happen.
hmm what happened to the culpepper deal in place with the anonymous team?? saints-brees, titans-culpepper would create a very interesting month leading up to the draft...you would def. see a lot of teams trying to move up, i just hope we somehow get a realistic shot at bush, trade down, or take super mario at 4
yea man whats up with john clayton he hasnt been so dead on lately with his reports as he used to be. all this oakland talk yesterday only to turn around this morning and report what shaffer said last night oakland wasnt involved and had made no deal
yea seriously...is it just me, or lately doesn't it feel like there's so many false reports and rumors going on, even coming from major sources like espn?? i guess this CBA stuff just screwed up everything
Even if the 'Aints grab Brees in FA, why should we make the assumption that they would trade the pick away? They are sitting at #2 with a shot at Da Brick or Super Mario (both players would arguably be #1 or #2 picks in any other year). Why not sit at #2 and grab that exceptional talent as well? In that scenario, we would be looking at Young or Leinart......and ....a ton of leverage....
They won't take Mario, they have more than enough quality DEs (Grant, Howard, Smith) but they do really need help at OLB, so I can see them trading down to take Hawk.
because i just get the feeling some team out there will offer the farm to aquire leinart...it will be interesting
