Culpepper has to be the worst QB in the league. He is costing the Phins week in and week out! :finssuck:

The Dolphins really should just go with Harrington at this point. When Culpepper was with Minnesota it was so easy to just tell him to drop back roll out and throw the deep ball to Moss or Carter. Now he has to actually read the defense before the snap and he's just not doing it. It's not the offensive line, it's him holding onto the ball way too long because he doesn't know what to do with it. And he doesn't have the escapability to move around or out of the pocket and make a play. Plus, the Dolphins other problem is playcalling. They are not running the ball enough. How do you give Ronnie Brown only 12 carries against the Texans? :eek:hmy: The Dolphins stay on this current pace they won't win more than 4 games

They are backtracking on their statements that they have the best coaching staff in the NFL because they have 3 HCs.

Our D-Line will be able to get pressure on a QB in 2 weeks!

    Wow!

If you would've made the statement on Pepper after the first two games, then I would've agreed with you but this is cannot fall on Pepper. The OL is playing like shit, they gave up 26 sacks all of last season and they've already given up 21 this year through four games (they're on pace to break the record set by the Texans of 76). I do agree with you on the playcalling 100%, for some reason Mularkey doesn't want to feed Ronnie Brown the ball and is stuck on dinking and dunking all game. I think they've thrown like 4 deep balls all season.

Someone on my Fins board came up with this...

I have to admit I have not analyzed the Phins completely but from what I've seen it looks like Culpepper is indecisive with the ball in which case he holds on to the ball to long and that is where quite a few of those sacks are coming from.

While Culpepper isn't playing good, he is getting absolutely killed back there, it is hard having any consistant play if he is getting nailed on every play, it is pretty safe to say that Miami has by far the worst OL in football, and until they fix that they will be competing for the #1 pick with Detroit and Oakland

obviously he's not getting a lot of protection, but he's also making some very questionable decisions out there.

He has not looked good at all, shaky OL notwithstanding.

yeah, Culpepper is freaking killing us!!!! he's playing the same way he played in Minni last year before he got injured, if he doesn't play better we'll go 3-13, this sucks!

It's not all the O-Line's fault in Miami

True but leading the league in sacks by a mile, shows that they deserve a lions share of the blame, and with all of Culpepper's leg injuries last year it isn't like he is jumping at the chance to run with the ball

From what I have seen, Culpepper looks confused out there. From what I've seen (and I've seen every Dolphins game so far) that's the reason for a lot of the sacks. And that's the reason why Ronnie Brown leads the team in receptions.

the fault of a sack falls on the qb and the oline....not always b/c each situation is different, but when you have that many sacks something is wrong on both parties
