When you say things like the bolded part, it makes me question what kind of poster you are. What is the purpose you are pursuing when you misrepresent another poster's position here, that being mine? All I said was I am less concerned than you because so far Bowles has not done anything to indicate he is concerned about Cro. Nowhere have I come close to saying, blindly or otherwise, that he's going to be a stud in week 1. I suggest you try a somewhat different approach here, one that comes closer to accurately describing the positions you criticize.
Once again, If you want to ignore Cro's struggles so far in camp and preseason, just because Bowles hasn't benched him yet, that's up to you. I don't do that. I don't know why you take offense to that, why you think like I'm calling you out or something. I'm worried, that doesn't mean Cro is garbage. It means that I don't expect him to come in and be a different player in week 1. He has never been a great tackler, he has never been a consistent corner outside of that one year. He is what he is. A corner who gives up bigplays, gets flagged quite often and somebody who also makes plays. That's what he was with the Chargers, that's what he was here, that's what he was in Arizona, that's what he's been in camp so far with us again. People act like he's taking it easy on everybody and come week one we'll see a different player. Sorry, I don't see it. It'll be the a similar guy. What I'm hoping for is the fact that they'll fix the communication issues. Outside of that, nothing. He'll miss tackles like he usually does, he'll give up bigplays, he will give up a lot of short passes because of the ridiculous cushion he gives every receiver, playing off 5-10 yards despite having 4.4 speed (he used to, anyway), and he will make bigplays every once in a while. It'd be much easier if people would just accept that instead of hoping for him to be something different come week one. The moment he does mess up people will be all over him and all over this defense because of the high expectations they have regarding Cro. Just settle for less. We don't need him to be Revis. Expect him to mess up, don't talk him up and act like you don't see what's been going on with him.
Your reading comprehension problems are too great to make you a poster worth discussing issues with here. I have not ignored Cro's issues. I quite simply do not share your level of alarm for the reasons I have mentioned. Have a nice day.
You're not making any sense. First of all I'm not alarmed one bit. I've said from day 1 what I think of Cro, my expectations are pretty low/average. I'm actually trying to tell folks who expect him to be Revis' equal to maybe lower their expectations a little bit. And secondly, if you decide to just blindly buy into this "this is just camp, in week 1 we'll see a different Cro" theory, because Bowles hasn't benched him yet, then of course you're sweeping his struggles under the rug. Because you don't take those into account, you chose to ignore them. All you do is just go by what Bowles is saying. He's not a time traveller, he doesn't know how Cro is going to perform. Neither does anyone else. All we can go by is his performance right now, and that's all I'm doing. Nobody should be looking for Cro to be a different player in week 1.
