Crazy Double Punt in Rams/Seahawks Game

    Pretty amazing on the part of the punter, but the only problem is that he was over the LOS when he kicked it the second time, and the NFL and refs totally missed it!!!

    I read of any part of body behind the LOS then it is legal.

    Perhaps, but unless his ass cheeks were behind the LOS, he was totally over the LOS imo. Both of his feet/legs, head and torso were over the LOS.

    He was over the LOS for sure by my eyes but either way they need to fix the rule. If a double punt on a block is a ten yard penalty and a re-kick you are simply rewarding the kicking team on the play by giving them a re-kick. The ball needs to be placed at the spot of the second kick.

    I agree with you that he was over the LOS.

    But if a kicker or anyone can recover a blocked kick and kick it again, that is one hell of a play. So leave the rule alone here in my opinion.

    Now, what if the 2nd kick is blocked, does the rule allow for a 3rd kick?
