http://www.gbnreport.com/ The Texans helped shore up the middle of their defense by signing former Vikings, Jets and Bills LB Sam Cowart. Cowart brings experience and leadership to a young Houston defense.
One of my all-time favorite players. Injuries ruined his promising career, I hope he does well in Houston.
He intended to say that Houston still sucks and they're trying to improve from going from the #1 to the #2 pick with signings like these. I'll root for Cowart... he was ruined here due to Cottrell's cover 2 shit and his injuries.
That achilles injury ruined his career. Makes you think how one bad injury can change the way you play the game and all the hype and coverage you had can just fall to the wayside. Marvin Jones another prime example. Highly touted prospect damages his hip, never got back that speed he once had. Same with Cowart, great speed, blew a tendon and never was the same again. Wonder if A.J Hawk goes through the same thing?
Cowart was being compared to Ray Lewis after his first couple seasons in the NFL. He had some pretty amazing years in Buffalo then tore the Achilles, and had to move to a new position coming off that injury. He still managed to lead the Jets in tackles the next two years. This guy has gone through some huge misfortunes and bad situations in his time. I'll be pullin' for him.
That's why I would worry about Julian Peterson, wherever he signed. This guy was moving up the charts to be one of the best LBs in the league before he got hurt. Something about guys whose job it is to run in space and make tackles. They are never quite the same after a big injury anywhere on their lower body.
