Is it that hard to count to 11? How many times have we lined up on the field with 10, 12, or even 9 men on the field? Way too many times. Then I see that on Devin Hester's touchdown catch in the 3rd quarter, we had 10 men on the field. Seriously? When are we going to get past this? Along with the clock management issues, these are coaching problems that show major chinks in Rex Ryan's armor. There's a new off-field issue almost every week, and now there are reasons to question Rex's coaching. Winning masks all problems, as it should, but why do we have so many rudimentary problems like this?
Our team lacks discipline - Its Rex's fault and he is a fkng antichrist for not addressing this ongoing problem and I mean it should have been addressed 2 mos ago.
It seemed like we had fewer than 11 in on every defensive play yesterday. I think this is indicative of things being too complex on defense. What happened to KILL, Rex? If the D was lights out it would be much easier to forgive, unfortunately the D has been shit as of late.
This is a serious problem that needs to be addressed. It seems like they were able to improve the penalties the last few games but they still seem like a poorly managed team. 10 or 12 men on the field clock management at the end of each quarter is miserable. using two challenges in the first half of the packers game I think it's fair to see that we didn't hire Rex for attention to detail. He coaches more like we play madden then the way that other coaches like Harbaugh and Belicheat examine every single detail to the fullest. I don't know if they are going to have to hire a quality control person which would be sad but they will have to do something. It's pretty clear that the teams that make the least mental mistakes, turnovers and penalties give themselves the best chance to win every week.
I don't know why this happens, but I agree that it's ludicrous and inexcusable. You've also got to ask, though, why the defensive captains aren't seeing that the field is wrong; at the very least the free safety should be able to pick up a miscounted team. TommyJ may have a good point about Leonhard's influence being missed in more than one way.
This has been happening all season. I believe a lot of it may be because of too many personnel packages.
It was happening with Leonhard too. It's a discipline issue with the players and coaches, and it needs to be corrected. I don't get how so many coaches with plenty of football sense can continue to overlook this. This issue is just annoying.
Maybe Petine should get out of the booth and get on the sidelines. That should not be necessary, but obviously some players aren't paying attention.
Not a bad idea at all. I don't know what he's supposed to be seeing up in the booth but lately it's obviously not all that helpful.
No Jake I wasn't. I am frankly sick and tired of the bullshit penalties and stupid ass mistakes we see from this team. Not having enough players on the field is an inexcusable F Up for a High School Football Team. Its a Freaking travesty for an NFL team to repeatedly be so f'ng incompetent in terms of sideline game management that they repeatedly fail to have the correct players on the f'ng field. Its Sloppy bullcrap and the fact that Footsy Ryan tolerates this crap is absolutely inexcusable. Woody should be reading this guy the F'ng riot act about these failures. THe Jets should have won the F'ng game. The Jets are better than the F'ng Bears. Sloppy play, lack of discipline and pride and failed execution is holding this team back. And repeatedly not even having the correct number of players on the field is a f'ng embarrassment. If you think its ok for an NFL team to consistently brain fart - thats up to you Jake. I vehemently disagree. We are sitting on the opportunity of a lifetime to shock the world and kick some f'ng ass in the playoffs - but we aren't going to even come close if our team is so poorly run that we can't even get 11 guys on the F'ng field at the same time.
