Could Steve Smith drop to Round 3?

    and if he does, would you be okay with selecting him?

    the thread that whoever made about taking a WR has really piqued my interest in the WR prospects; mainly because McCareins may be a goner and Tim Dwight is Tim Dwight, nothing more nothing less.

    i was perusing NFL Draftcountdown and checked out Steve Smith's scouting report to read about his weaknesses. it seems one of the knocks on him is speed/burst/etc.

    anyone who watched him play at USC knows that he's a baller, and has the type of skills that can make him productive in the NFL -- not saying he's a #1 or even a #2, but a valuable #3.

    keep in mind, the knock on Cotchery when he came out was he didn't have NFL speed or the type or burst to create separation in the NFL; and he dropped to R4. but look how that has worked out.

    so maybe Smith will be there. what do you think: yay or nay if Smith is available in R3?

    If he is there in round 3 I would love to have him. I was always a fan of him at USC. He would be a solid possesion guy and has always been a good route runner.
