Some of you peeps have craploads of knowledge regarding this stuff. Is this scenario possible. Who really needs a QB in the top 28 and being it's possible that 2 of the big three could be available AFTER the Jets pick are there 2 teams they will absoultely not make it past?

I'm leaning more towards Cutler than Young.

Who cares? Cutler received nothing more than a mid-second round grade before he had good workouts, and proved he's good at throwing the ball on outside curls yet can't throw it into coverage over the middle.

No. Cutler is not going to slip past the #10 pick, when Arizona will jump on him if he's still on the board.

While either Cutler or Young could easily drop out of the top 10. Most likely neither will drop any lower than 17th to the Vikings. The teams in the top 16 that might take a QB are the Jets, Raiders, Cardinals and Ravens. Of all those teams the only one that is very likely to go Qb is the Cardianls. I have not seen anyone mention the Bills looking at a QB but if they are trying to move Losman who knows.

ALOT of people in here would beg to difer on that one. I don't like the kid but he grades out to be a 1st rd pick. just as long as we don't draft him, I rather go for a qb if we have to next year.

Who do you really think will be there next year though? It would surprise me if the Jets made the playoffs next year, but it would surprise me even more if we were bad enough for Brady Quinn. After that there's Brian Brohm and Drew Stanton, neither of whom strikes me as being any better than Cutler, Leinart or Young.

quinn is the only one i would want next year so far. I don't think we're making the playoffs next year and as much as I hate to admit it we will probably be only slightly better then this past season.

quinn should, providing more experience, improvements and a solid season (which is all more than likely) grade out like carson palmer

brohm is extremely talented, whether he puts it together for a great season next year and decides to come out is another thing...

stanton is basically equivalent to cutler, though he plays better teams and has won...and won bigger games (trust me cutler isnt an actual first round prospect...workouts are like 1/32 of the equation in fairness..they just get blown out of proportion...i mean for christ sake if cutler is so good, why hasn't he won anything...so good to make his team better and carry them...why did he have a 5+ game losing streak..its all media hype that came after the upset they pulled against a bad tennessee team...yes tennessee was actually pretty damn bad for them last season)

also, if Cutler is so good, then why was he playing for Vandy? Why didnt a bigger school get him?

But blac to the original purpose of the thread. I think that it is possible that Cutler may fall all the way to 29. Last year, Aaron Rodgers was in consideration for the #1 overall, and fell to the packers at 24. But this year, i think that Arizona will take Young, and at 15 Denver might take Cutler, but if he passes them maybe Vikings... but if he goes past them, he could fall down to 29

I'm sure people would say your crazy for predicting Rodgers to fall to Green Bay last season.

With the QB's out this year, who really knows?

Nah, it's not happening. After young and leinart are gone, theres a bunch of other teams that will want a qb and the best one on the board is cutler... simple as that... well it's not actually that simple with Rodgers last year

Hopefully for the JETS sake he will not go past #4!!, or it will be another great disaster in JETS history.
I dont care who is blocking, catching or running, if you believe Patsy Ramsey Or Chadwick Pennington are the answer, well I hope you enjoy dark damp basements.

I love the JETS & this kid is the best pure QB in the draft in some time, the total package. I prey he wont burn us like Marino did for years. Oh, I forgot the scouting report on him was uncoachable, drug user w/ no mobility?

I,ll take the cocky leader who is a natural born winner......and some.....

I think its very possible that he could fall farther than people expect... but 29 is pretty low.

Id say the lowest he could go is 22 to the Broncos, no way would they pass on him.

Anyone who says this scenario is not possible obviously paid no attention to last year's draft, when the 'experts' ' opinions got blasted to smithereens.
